Offensively, you cant argue with that. He is not more technical but one of the most methodical fighters I have ever seen. Diaz fought a GREAT fight. Its not like Diaz did anything wrong based on his style and ability. JMM just expose every little crack and crevice in his game. It was not a fluke knockout hail mary....nah nah nah.
Marquez is not beating mayweather. no doubt it would be a good fight, but Mayweather is a complete package -- marquez has defense problems -- he won't be catching may like that. May is not Diaz... lets not get crazy here. Mayweather will only come out of retirement for something that pac can produce.
yeah but floyd has fought at over 140 since 04 and Marquez was fighting at 126 until 06. not too mention floyd is naturally more pwerful, quicker and better defensively with far better footwork and younger and has been in less wars. again Marquez is my favorite fighter but no way in hell he wins this one. any non biased fan can see the outcome of this one and unfortunately it's mayweather by KO.
Pfft, like there's any reason Marquez can't fight Pacquiao if Hatton wins. Are you ****ing kidding me? The outcome of the Hatton fight, or any other fight, has nothing to do with it. JuanMa will fight him for peanuts. Pac could go on an 0-10 skid and his stock could plummet to fighting on Andrew Hartley undercards in Paris Middle School, Arkansas for a c-note per night, Juan will still want his ass. He'll chase him to the ends of the earth, to 200lbs and above if necessary. The onis is 100% entirely on JMM to keep winning to force Pacquiao to acknowledge him again.
I disagree.. offensively Floyd is also better in technique. Its just that Marquez trades a lot more but when Floyd lets his arms go its a thing to behold
just goes to show pac and marquez are heads above the competition at lightweight. can't believe a year ago people are actually saying both these guys wouldn't match against casamayor, diaz and campbell
Well, nobody's fought Campbell yet. :good I was probably one of the minority saying that either could beat Diaz, and if that was pre-Katsidis and the last impression of Casa had been from the JASC fight, I probably wasn't too keen on his chances either. :yep
