What a warrior Gomez is! So glad he showed up some of the morons on here who didn't think he deserved his chance. Maybe they should listen to a certain boxer who posts on here?? p.s I get the feeling that won't be the last we see of Michael...

Yes he did get up for that fight, but don't think for one second he would put in the kind of preparation he did if he was fighting a six-round fight with some journeyman.

Boxers, like all sportsmen, need to be in peak physical condition for any contest they enter or else, win or lose, they end up looking bad.

Discipline is the key and Gomez has shown that, fight in fight out, he doesn't have the drive to sustain it.

Don't be fooled; Gomez will probably disappear into obscurity now.

    This is just my opinion.:D

Fair point about the discipline, but some of the comments about Gomez being some sort of sacrificial lamb were ridiculous.

Khan has no chance against a decent Lightweight puncher.

His best attribute is his speed, but against someone who has a good chin and can punch - who's a proper lightweight, he's got no chance. A good euro level boxer will beat him.

    True:good

I will admit that I was guilty of some it myself. I give credit to Gomez for his performance now though.
