gomez, is, i admit, making a better showing than i imagined he might--though in an ugly, choppy, boring fight.

 

just shows how heavyweight boxing has gone down in recent years.

Gomez eye looks bad

 

Despite looking so roboting, Vitali is actually a very good fighter. It'll be over soon, JCG is cut.

Gomez is way too clinch happy nowadays. He gets on the inside and just lounges there like a slug. Gomez has blood over his eye. Vitali landing that jab from a safe distance and Gomez isn't doing enough to push the fight. Vitali DOES look gassed but he's so much further ahead of Gomez in the power department that he doesn't have MUCH to worry about. Gomez sticks out his tongue after ducking some power shots. That's not gonna win you the round Juan. Jab is all Vitali needs at this point. He can just throw it all night and take the fight with the jab. Gomez lands a NICE right and then we have a clash of heads at the end of the round. That was a vicious clash.
