I thought these rounds could go either way to be honest.

I've said a 115-112 Calzaghe-Jones is a legit score and have been laughed at.

    Thoughts?

115-112. You gotta be kidding me,
    Joe won all rounds 2-12.

Nope,he waswinning 5th and 6th but Joe just outhustled him and won them. You could make a case for the second one but I still gave it to Calzaghe.Roy lost this fight really wide to me.

I swear. I feel 90% of you guys who post about this fight haven't watched it.

Seriously, watch rounds 2,5, and 6. If you can still say Joe CLEARLY won rounds 2,5, and 6...I don't know what fight you're watching.

Roy won 1 & possibly 2 rest for Joe, i think you were watching the fight with your American blinkers on

I swear you don't know how to score boxing fights, thats one of the worst scorecards i have ever seen.

I thought he won round 2 and 1 other one where Jones landed some head snapping shots.

I agree with you. Jones could have won some of those rounds. Calzaghe outhustled him at points - but he wasn't always landing effective blows. That said - Joe clearly dominated Roy in the bulk of the other rounds.

Jone s did good work in rounds 2 and 5 but Calzaghe clearly outworked and landed many more shots.I think round 6 was the round when Jones landed the massive uppercut that visibly hurt Calzaghe. That was the only other round I scored for Jones.117-110 Calzaghe.

I was rooting for Jones to make a huge upset and go out with another ATG on his resume... wasn't to be... I gave him rounds 1 (obviously!) and 2, but sadly the rest were Calzaghe's. He was simply too good for Roy at this stage in their respective careers. It was hard to watch tbh, but taking nothing away from Calzaghe he was sensational

One and possibly two to Jones.

Can't make a case for any of the others.

Thread starter needs to take a judging seminar

Jesus Christ. I didn't score the fight 115-112. All I'm saying, is that that's a legitimate score.

Look. Many people have Roy winning round 2. Many people have Roy winning round 5. Those were the rounds I had him winning. If I'm a bad judge, then almost all the media (who gave RJJ and/or round 2/5 are dumb as well)

Ive watched the fight twice now, once on setanta live and the 2nd time on HBO downloaded.

There's an arguement to give Roy the 2nd round which I did give to him initially but not on 2nd viewing. 5 and 6 were Calzaghe rounds, but if I remember right there was some effective jabbing from Roy but no enough IMO.

    Scoring Calzaghe-Jones 115-112 would be like scoring Calzaghe-Kessler 114-114:deal
