what I'm wondering here is how many of you who train consistently have a specific routine or just mix it up each day. I know each person needs different stuff, and honestly, knowing what I'm gonna do the next day seems boring to me. on the other hand, atleast if you have it planned out, you have a better chance of doing it. aside from specific days where I go to the gym, I typically just do what I feel....as in, no order really....maybe sprints and punch outs one day, 30 mins jump rope and shadow boxing the next, cheetos the next so, how do you guys do it?
i have a completely different routine each week here are some of my routines that i follow, most of them i got from ross enamait, and i made up quiet a few... each exercise should be done as fast and explosively as possible. 12 Burpees 24 Pushups 36 Bodyweight Squats 400-Meter Run repeat 6 times with no rests. _________________________________ 30 sec burpees 30 sec jumping jacks 30 sec squats 30 sec push ups 6 times with no rest between circuits. _________________________________ 100 Rope Turns (sprint as fast as you can) 10 Burpees 10 Pushups 10 Bodyweight Squats Repeat the circuit 10 times with no rest __________________________________ similar one 100 rope turns 10 clap push ups 20 lateral jumps 15 medicine ball slams repeat 8 times with a minute rest in between sets. __________________________________ 10 burpees 10 bicycle crunches 10 squats 10 push ups repeat this circuit as many times as possible in 20 minutes these are just some examples, its easy to make them up, make sure you try complete each routine with maximum intensity
I have a set routine now, but I used to do a lot of cross-training with bodyweight exercises about a year ago... very much like what relentless had posted. I used to break them down into rounds using pushups, situps, squats, burpees, chinups, pullups, and jumping jacks. Example: Round 1 is pushups situps pullups. Round 2 is burpees pushups squats. I would do 10 rounds tuesday, thursday, saturday and finish off with 60 tire swings from 5 different directions (overhead, overleft, overright, left, right, overhead). That was my home workout. I did all my boxing at the gym, because at the time I had almost no equipment at home.
this is probably the best/worst one (depending on how you look at it) every time i try this i am left huffing and puffing gasping for air, it may look nothing but try it out and then tell me.
yeah, I think I'll just create ****. also, I have found it is more purposeful to jump rope for 15-20 mins straight than for rounds. the only reason I could see jumping rope for 3 mins is if you were doing sprints....otherwise, it's more of a warm-up. but I know some people still do like 5x3 rounds...
