I don't think RJ's chin was that bad at 168, we didn't see it tested an awful lot because he was so hard to hit flush, but I think it was a result of his weight hopping. JC always has a chance because of his work rate and adaptability. But like you say, a prime Jones would beat him no troubles at 168. However, after a hard fight with Pavlik I'm not so sure he would.

GTFO with that "RJJ's weak chin" bs. Look Hopkins landed alot of FLUSH right hands on Roy, and Roy was never wobbled, in fact Roy Jones was hit alot of times in his prime but he was NEVER hurt. His chin problems started after the weight loss, and that was when he was on a decline. And then you say that Joe can hit a prime Jones with "power shots" and take advantage of it?

Anyone suggesting Pavlik would knock out a prime Jones needs to take a few steps back and then run at the nearest wall holding a knife backwards.

Roy certainly wouldn't have been playing grab arse with the canvas in the second round of a fight with Jermain Taylor thats for sure. Take it how you want but theres nothing that shows Roys chin was any worse than Pavliks in his prime (as Pavliks is far from iron although he does have excellent recovery abilities). You can be sure guys like Zuniga wouldn't have had Roy on his arse.

Pavlik would be eating canvas after throwing air swings and having his face mutiliated in return. Roy was more powerful, far quicker, had arguably a better chin at those weights, had a defence, was far less predictable, and could do anything in the ring better than Kelly Pavlik.
