Roy Jones gave Zab Judah some advice during his post fight comments. Jones stated that Judah should stay away from Mathysse, do not give him re-match, and force Mathysse to make a name for himself against another fighter. This is excellent advice, and Roy would have done himself well if he hadn't re-matched Tarver. Maybe he wouldn't have felt the need to fight Glen Johnson, and two KOBY's wouldn't be on his record.

Roy is a smart guy and great at commentating on fights, it would be great if he had some self analyzing and ended his boxing carreer.

This was REALISTIC advice. Naturally Zab's not going to give a no-name, no-big win, no-draw, good chin, type of guy like Mathysse a rematch. Zab is old... he's gotta get his RIGHT NOW. Thankfully, Zab has the name/rep to get that big step up match, and get one last payday.

Yeah he was spot on. As far as rematching Tarver, at the time most people felt that if he didnt rematch him, he was dodging him and Roy would have taken a lot of heat. I give Roy credit during the commentary lampley was trying to get him to talk about his fight with Hopkins but he didnt and stayed focused on the commentary. Hes very good behind the mike.

I dont think you should ever go over old ground unless its absolutely necessary. Just think how much better Mosley's record would like had he not re-matched Forrest, Wink
