We don't know this because Kessler never attempted to make either fight..or did he?
Nope, he didn't. He choose to fight Calzange instead.
But kessler's young. Maybe he'll learn something from tomorrow.

The fact that you regard Beyer and a former rugby league player as milestones of a fighters ability is worrying enough....go clear your head.

This comment by RJJ doesn't make sense. Roy Jones Snr trains Anthony Mundine (or did for a few fights) and Mundine just spent the last 4wks with both jones jnr and snr sparring. On numerous occasion jones snr has said Mundine is a very talented athlete and i can only assume jones jnr agrees.

However Kessler comfortably beat Mundine in his own backyard.

For Jones to say Kessler is B grade just doesn't make sense :huh

He should take on the B-level fighter then, who's looking for an opponent for the June 21 HBO date. If he's B level, there's nothing to worry about... :rofl

Kessler needs to get his damn skates on and start fighting the best SMWs out there. Now Calzaghe has gone, Kessler is without doubt the best. Most stateside here have only seen that fight against Calzaghe and thought he's nothing but a bum (because of their low opinion of Calzaghe). Watch a few more of his fights and his complete domination of them and then judge.

But like I said, he needs to start fighting again, and soon. Taking Miranda out in style should be straightforward enough and will impress the casual American fan.

SMW isn't exactly bubbling with talent.

He can be top 5 there but that doesn't make him an elite fighter.

If you watch a guy like Dawson (excluding after he got tagged in round 10 vs Adamek and Johnson) and then switch to watching Kessler, you quickly see what so many saw before his fight with Calzaghe: a robotic, one-two fighter who can't make adjustments.

Was he good enough to win a belt or two? Is he fundamentally sound? Sure, but he is still far, far from being elite.

He is an A level fighter, Hopkins and Jones have probably only seen a little of Kessler and are making assumptions

Kessler's a good fighter but he is too straight up. That's why Calz was able to beat him. Calzaghe can BOX and move. Kessler rely's on the 1,2 and his speed/size.

He wont beat Calz or Hopkins. Nor RJJ pre Tarver. Now? Possibly, but that may not be likely.
