fair point but any fighter worth there salt beats johnson. johnson would have got the biggest pummelling of his career if calzaghe hadn't pulled out of the fight 3 times through injury to his hands. i know its pointless me saying that because it never happenned but that is what i genuinely believe would of happened. anyone who wishes to put calzaghe down for not fighting glen johnson is grasping at straws imo. the man has lost 13 times.

i think there were one or two occasions when calzaghe COULD have fought him but you're right: critiques are reaching a bit. in 2002, when the fight (from what i heard) was most likely johnson hadn't beaten jones and was nobody, nor was he considered a true threat. it wasn't until post jones that he was considered elite. hindsight is 20/20 but when the fight was in discussions johnson was not thought of as that dangerous, certainly not enough for calls of ducking

 

its always good to recieve the backing of one of the biggest great whites in the esb ocean. a man who isn't brainwashed, tells it like it is and backs up his opinions with irrefutable facts :deal

Jones showed he lost it when he fought Tarver & Johnson (2003 & 2004) so how can you possibily say he was prime when he fought Calzaghe??? What has Jones since then to prove he was prime???
