If you guys ever get a chance to watch a replay of woods-jones, roy threw this monster right hook before the fight ended. Does anyone else remember that shot? He wound up (looked like it was slomo) and everything.
I have all the PM's of our bet, but i am not gonna go that far that would be disrespectful to him. You could just just ask him, he is honest.:yep
Gigantic slabs of kudos to my fellow ESB expert posters Headbanger and NoHomeJerome, two exemplary gents who scythe through the jungle of warped nonsense to deliver clear-as-day irrefutable boxing facts. Salutations to you both. This content is protected :happy I have finally come to the conclusion that these deluded naysayers, nuthuggers and vile haters are utterly jealous of our expertise, biting wit, boxing knowledge, Glass Jaw detection ratio, and no doubt our way with the ladies as intellectual ESB Titans that have chiselled, handsome features.. :happy:happy ESB experts pwning haters left, right, and centre. It's irrefutable. wned
Hi Headbanger, I lost an avatar bet with Mind Reader, because I understandably predicted that Roy Jones would be KO'd in the first round to a Hopkins pawed rangefinder jab. Unbeknownst to me, Hopkins suddenly got old overnight. atschatsch Being the upstanding, honourable gent that I am, I honoured the bet under the Marquez of Queensbury Rules. Another string to my bow. Add that to my resume of Glass Jaw expert, hypejob detector, ESB Titan, nuthugger dismantler = 46and0 :bbb:bbb:happy:happy
:good I was honestly relieved at the end of round 1... I did not want to use your glass jaw Roy avatar for a year...:nut You were a man of your word though, and contacted me before I did you.good
i admire your honesty, 99 times out of 100 jones wouldn't have made it through that 1st round, you were the victim of freak circumstance. it was your 1st loss in debate after 1985 posts which is a phenominal record and further underlines that you are one one of the biggest hitters and most respected posters in esb history :deal i'm sure there will come a day too when i too lose a debate on esb and i only hope that i can respond with such dignity and grace and further enhance my reputation on esb as one of the top 5 posters in the history of the website :yep:yep:yep
That's the thing Mind Reader. People label me as a troll and a hater. I can't for the life of me think why. atschatsch I am always reasonable in my assessments of fighters. I crunch down the facts to the fundamentals and the results are always irrefutable. I am simply here to proffer my boxing knowledge and impart my wisom and expertise on ESB. I don't know why people get bend out of shape over it.atsch :bbb:smoke
I don't take it as a loss Headbanger, as you say, it was a freak occurrence. It's like that tennis match the other day that lasted 11 hours +. Things like that come once in a blue moon. I was as shocked as you were no doubt when I saw that Jones got through the first round. :roflatsch Hopkins was a disgrace in that fight, just like the Calzaghe fight. Feigning injury, clinching, headbutting. Hopkins is an acting disgrace who lost to men his own size and feasted on Blown-up Welterweights. atsch
It wasn't really a loss in debate, just a bold prediction I didn't see happening so I made the bet. It was so bold that my penalty for losing would be sporting a glass jaw Jones avatar for a year, while he losing would have to sport a Roy avatar for a month. I didn't want to make an unfair bet. He was a man of his word, would be glad to bet again in the future, just not with Roy, I hope he retires. That was a horrible fight though, so I lost anyway.:yep
