Now he's going "WHO IS THAT" to the presenters of the radio show like he just ****ing phoned Bernard's house and doesn't understand who these other guys are. Roy'd top 30 though, not top 20
Roy needs to try and win a title at cruiser, and after that sit his ass down and get behind the mic. His skills as a broadcaster were almost as good as his boxing.
He's to crazy for broadcasting. "MY ONLY CLICK IS GOD. THESE OTHER CLICKS CAN CLICK THE CLICKS ALL DAY LONG. WHERE MY ROOSTER AT?"
:rofl He was good on the HBO crew. He's got people kissing his ass because he beat on a shot neverwas Lacy, so he's trying to get back some of that brashness he had before he got knocked out.
Exactly. What no Hopkins may do is go fight Adamek or his other 2 options and if he comes off a loser he'll agree to fight Roy - when he sees himself faced with his last pension fight. Anyone can see whos ducking who here. Hopkins DOESN'T BELIEVE IN HIMSELF TO THE EXTENT THAT HE'LL TAKE 60-40% FOR THE WINNER / LOSER. IN MY BOOK THAT SAYS AN AWFUL LOT. HE DONT CARE TO AVENGE HIS LOSS TO ROY CLEARLY. HOPKINS DONT WANNA RISK GETTING EXPOSED TO RJJ ESPESH ONE THAT MANY CONSIDER SHOT. BUT FOR SURE HE'S DEFINATELY SCARED TO TAKE THE CHANCE OF WHAT HE KNOWS IS A BIG PPV FIGHT. CHICKEN POPKINS!!!
I don't blame Hopkins for putting the screws to Jones at all. Jones did the same to Bernard when he was on top. There was no way Jones would have taken 60-40 winner-loser split when he was on top, we all know that. Shame though.
Even though they are both old, and this fight should have happened around about 6 years ago, I would actually love it if they fought again. I don't see why they can't just go 55-45 to B-Hop, he does deserve more at this point in time.
lets put it this way - if it was Lennox Lewis and someone had a win over him he'd be calling for the fight to avenge his loss. So Hopkins is playing the chicken here - scared of the risk. Clearly the man has doubts of his chances...why else would he not agree to 60-40 in favour of the winner? And yeah I think many would give Hopkins credit for avenging his loss. Isn't RJJ the one loss he actually admits to? Were the Taylor and Calzaghe losses he still refutes. If you heard that telephone interview all through to the end you can clearly hear one person is up for it and the other is backtracking all the time. And dont you think this would be a big money fight? It would surely be a PPV bonanza - old rivals settling a score. Hopkins if he really really had no doubts of his chances ie that he'd win he'd happily take 60-40. But clearly the man is scared of his chances.
I don't think fear comes into the equation. Do you think Jones would have accepted this deal when he was on top? Hopkins is just turning the tables on Roy here I think. I disagree with you about him getting credit for it as well. Calzaghe didn't get any credit for it and if Hopkins were to beat him people would just turn around and say he beat a shot fighter. Fights with Dawson and Adamek are a lot more meaningful and I'd much prefer to see Bernard take those guys on.
