    mw: Jackson, McClellan
    smw: Benn, Liles(linear champ)
lhw: Nunn(past prime)-loses points for vacating his belt to avoid fighting him
    hw: lewis (linear champ)

im happy with what he did at mw. he beat the man who dominated for the next 10 years. that is enough.

at smw, yes id forgot about benn, at the right point that would have been sgnificant.

at 175, i still say dariusz is all thats missing.

lol if he also beat lennox lewis he would without doubt have been the g.o.a.t.

Roy had a succesful career no doubt about that, but for a guy with his talent it should of been exceptional.

Its strange that Roys Legacy win over Toney is over the person who beat the man who Beat Tyson in Tysons legacy loss [Holifield]

perhaps it could and should have been more.

i always believed he should have gone to germany to fght dariusz, he was the main man and triple champ.

i think people can forgive benn because he did fight toney.

as for at heavy, maybe he could have stayed and fought byrd, holyfield, tyson. but then what is the point if you wont fght the likes of k2 and lewis?

He was a multiple times champ, which is a lot more than most fighters achieve. But he was an exceptional talent like Ali, Leonard- people basically held him to a different standard
I agree, he should of done that. It was really the most meaningful fight at lhw
To tell the truth the timing was never right
But it seems to be like Roy was happy having that Toney win and felt he didnt need to test himsel anymore
Any hw other that ruiz would of been fine with me

i think we can all agree that ruiz was supposed to just the icing on the cake of his career.

as i said he is only one or two victories away from fulfilling his potential.

To me Roy Jones was not that exciting to watch, fair enough he made your jraw drop with some of the skills he used to display, but most of his fights were cautious, tedious affairs where he fought too safe.

Now people can say what they want about why Jones did not fight this guy, that guy, bottom line, for me at least, is that he could of found more viable opponents to fight than Brannon, Hall, Kelly, Frazier.

To me it seems a bit naive to think that he could not of found better opponents to fight than these guys, also, when he did stuff like this below, it makes you question him even more.........

Hiding behind his HBO contract- which basically allowed him to run rampant in picking up millions of dollars at a time- Jones would fight one undeserving mandatory stiff after another.
But when Tarver had elevated himself to the IBF mandatory position in 2000, he had his promoter at the time Murad Muhammad write a letter questioning his attributes as the number one contender. Eventually, the IBF- which has had an incestuous relationship with Muhammad- acquiesced and forced Tarver into a box-off with Harding for the right to face Jones. Harding would beat Tarver in June of 2000( a loss though, that would be avenged a few years later) and Jones was free from having to face Tarver, until he agreed to face him this past Saturday.

But they'd both been pro for roughly the same amount of time and Hopkins had actually had more fights. It was also both mens first World title fight. I really don't know where this idea comes from that an experienced Jones beat a green Hopkins in that fight when they were pretty much dead even in terms of experience.

Roy Jones Jrs lhw reign was great but he did not face guys who had alot of power who could actually hurt him or be a threat to him only guys he faced that did was Tarver and ofcourse Glen johnson a gritty smart veteran at this time and they both knocked him out. The only true technician he faced was at start of his career in Bernard who was green at that time those type of fighters are always late bloomers. The James toney fight was nice win but u have to concider the fight James Toney lost to montell griffin after that.. James looked sloppy lazy many concider those to be his worst performances ever up there with his performance against dave tigeri it was not the toney that fought michael nunn or iran barkley in there in that time period. But as for his lhw reign there wasnt any risk there when he took the risk with tarver he had close fight with him and lost to him twice and got knocked out by Glen Johnson think Roy makes top 10 lightheavyweight list but not a top 5.

Now onto Tyson whose my fave Heavyweight what he did was certainly impressive His best wins being frank bruno and rudduck only guys who really had power to hurt him his legacy now is a what could of been story as he was robbed of his prime and shipped to prison hell always be judged for that short time period where he hadnt reached or fought evander of bowe. I think Tyson would have done beautiful things had he not went to jail but its all speculation and nuthugging really o mike a done this mike of done that in boxing its all about who u did face and what u did do not what u could have done.
