Hopkins wanted 50 50 times had changed he was having that sensational reign and was topplin pound for pound lists and had a name for himself. Roy wanted 60 40 thats what held the fight cause Roy wouldnt do a 50 50 split. So dont act like bernard wentout of his way to avoid Roy cause he did chase him.

heres another question. Ok so Roy has two guys at middleweight that could be his rivals and hall of famers why would u run up to a weight class in which there was no competition? He never wanted a rematch with Bernard.Another one of his excuses were "Im really too big for bernard anyway". That tells u.

Roy waited until ppl knew he was over the hill THEN he wanted to fight cause he knows hey if bernard beats me now he gets no credit. And bernard gave him a shot but he wouldnt give bernard a shot when he was shining now did he? That tells u what kind of a champ Bernard was.

But Jones was clearly the bigger draw and universally recognised as the best fighter on the planet.

    And who needed the rematch?
Not Jones, as he had already whooped Hopkins (and with an injured hand). Hopkins was the one that needed to make concessions.

Talk about legacy fights, a Jones rematch while both were still in their primes was Hopkins', and he passed it up. He also reneged on a deal to fight Calzaghe in the early 2000s. But he never thought twice about making smaller guys come up to fight him, no matter that they got the bigger purse eh.

The truth Hopkins didn't want the fight as he knew he struggled with fighters who were fast with good athleticism, as we later found out in his two fights against Taylor and Joe Calzaghe.

That loss to Roy will always be a black mark on his legacy. Hopkins win over a shot Jones that Danny Green knocked out in 1 round means nothing.

Hype is hype. Hype means nothing when doing comparisons.

And who was still on the pound for pound list while Roy fell from grace? Bernard was then Roy came cryin to him for a shot. Bernard had just beaten trinidad and like i said was toppling the pound for pound lists so thats false. Bernard was the one who approached roy once Roy got knocked out then bernard didnt care cause he was useless to him then Roy fell off then once roy was down and out then he elected to fight bernard. u say he struggled with Calzaghe? the dude was 43 ****in years old lol and it was a close fight that could have gone his way he was also 40 years old when he faced Jermaine many ppl felt he wont hat fight as well. Bernard kept going and hes still on the top ten pound for pound lists at 45.Hes the last one laughing.

O now its size. Bernard moved up to lightheavyweight a weight in which hed never fought at against a guy who was bigger than him and had beaten roy joens twice and beaten Glen Johnson Bernard Made the magic man look amateurish he then fought 168 pound calzaghe who was 6 foot 2 fought pavlick who was 6 foot 2. Dude your clearly a hater just stop.
