How would Roy done as a 190 pound heavyweight in decades past where that was a very good size for a heavyweight? How would he have done in the 50's, 60's and 70's? The 40's and 30's?
In the 50s there are no steroids, so he would be in the same size bracket as guys like Ezzard Charles. Same in the 60s and 70s ,for practical purpouses. Are we sending him back through time, or making him come along in the eras in question? A question that weighs more on my mind is: "What if he had stayed at heavyweight after beating Ruiz in his own era" If he had an even record against that heavyweight crop, people would have respected him for it. It would have been easier to obtain than opinion suggested. He had a chance to join the true imortals and he let it slip away.
