Roy at 7-5 would have been most likely if we talk prime.

Where are the mods to ban stupid ass trolls like the MF'ing TS? Vitali wouldn't land a single meaningful punch? OK dumbass...

I'm beginning to think the TS wasn't referring to a catch.:think I'm starting to envision the fight he's thinking of:think
Ooh I see.....he seems to think that Jones can slip Vitalis shots long enough for Vitali to tear his labrum.:-( Then again, you never know....I mean hell, even i play 6 numbers once a month:yep

But the TS thinks I'm stupid:huh

Vitaly is tough and very strong but he also is a predictable robot and slow as hell..
RJJ would UD him if he wouldnt gotten hit with something huge, and vitaly isnt a 1 punch KO artist so i think roy would be pretty safe in there as mobile and slick as he was in his prime.
Vitaly would look stupid in there

Jones would win a round, maybe two. He'd be in constant danger of being knocked out and have his hands full trying to avoid getting hit. He won't be able to mount much of an offensive and would just keep losing round after round to Vitali.

To those who disagree, it's simple to prove me wrong. Show me the best possible example of Vitali you can find and then consider Jones pre-Tarver. Was Jones hittable enough for the very best Vitali to land anything?

I don't think anyone who has seen a lot of Jones' career would say "yes" to that. Jones made good punchers miss by miles. He didn't ever take regular clean shots and he's never, in his entire career, fought someone as sluggish as Vitali.

So tell me. Where is the precedent for Vitali being able to hit Jones? It shouldn't be assumed that he would.

Jones loses 99 out of 100 matches against Vitali. He can't outbox him, he can't knock him out and might win one through freak injury.

I'm sorry that you know nothing about boxing. You must obviously like it and yet you can't analyse a fight in the slightest. It's a shame. Even if you watch boxing for another 50 years, you'll probably never understand styles.

Had Jones never fought Ruiz, you would have been one of those people who'd say "Jones would lose 99/100 against Ruiz".

You said Vitali is slow and sluggish. There's no point in debating w/ you, ******.
