I was just at an open training session here in Sydney and they asked Roy jones jnr which win was the biggest and most important to him and he said beating James lights out toney because he said no one thought he would beat Toney. He also said he dosnt hate hopkins he just likes beating him.

fair, and probably true. even though hopkins is higher all time the toney win was the only one i can think of where he wasn't the overwhelming favourite.

  3. Hopkins was a tougher fight than Toney...

RJJ's win over Toney is one of the best performances of the last 20 years in boxing, he's right to be proud of that.

it was a great performance by jones and the only time he was an underdog, so when you do something that great against someone no one thought you would beat it means something

A prime Toney would be a biggest win for anyone. It is amazing that he doesn't get enough credit. Everyone mentions Toney and Hopkins as all time greats and Roy beat them both pretty easily. In his prime; he beat just about everyone pretty easily.......too easy that he is considered not fighting anyone good. I believe he is the best PFP fighter ever. I don't see how anyone can consider him less than top 5 all time.

I believe if Pacman beats Mayweather; he could be #1......atleast top 5!

  9. Dumbass people forget that Roy had a tougher fight with Hops than Toney, Toney was 1, of Roys easiest fights..

Toney was the favorite at the time. That was jones coming out party. After that fight he blew up and became a mega star.
