Roy really isn't a bad fighter other than the fact he can't take a punch very well. He still has a powerful punch and good counters but his work rate, speed, reflexes and punch resitances are miles from what they were. He was competative through out against Hopkins and Lebedev which is impresive since Lebedev should be a champion but he should hang them up now.
Just watched Lebvedev-Jones.. It hurts... The Jones that fought Calzaghe might have beat Pascal... Not anymore.
I disagree. I don't think Roy Jones has been championship caliber since being knocked cold by Glen Johnson. And I think the OP meant this to be a joke guys. Read all of the posts. I really don't think RJJ is talking about fighting Pascal after getting starched just a few days ago.
I don't blame Roy, The guy loves to fight who the **** are we to say when is enough? Don't want to see him damage his health either post fighting days but it's his decision. (Nobody wants to go out with a "L")
...except Jones is currently four years older than Ali was at that time (and two years deeper in his pro career), and Ali didn't get KTFO a few times. If Pascal has any class he will respectfully decline the offer. Watch some idiots start screaming "duck!", too. :-(
I think Roy has already done some damage by continuing up to where he is now. Whether he retires or not you can tell by his speech and his reactions that he's taken one too many KO blows. Somebody needs to save him from himself. :rasta
