RJJ was getting beat up by journeyman five years ago, no way can he beat anyone relevant now.

Why not reply on the original thread about it?

I did just thought it was such a stupid comment that people might react to it on a thread.

If you mean Prime Roy Jones, than sure, Prime RJJ could beat any fighter in history. Though I wouldn't cite his fight with Trinidad as "doing a number on him". Trinidad fought relatively well vs Jones considering he was coming out of retirement to fight a past-Prime RJJ.

If you want to talk about somebody Roy did a number on, take someone like a Vinny Pazienza, or Montell Griffin in the rematch, or a Virgil Hill, not Felix Trinidad.

Paz landed more on Roy in the first couple of rounds than Tito did and Roy caught Paz less.

Very true, Vinny Paz did come to fight and hung in there with Roy for a couple of rounds, before shrugging his shoulders then getting sparked out in sensational fashion. But the fact that Paz was even still fighting at that point was a miracle to begin with after breaking his neck in the car crash and being told by doctors that his career was over.
