Roy Jones' chin.

Did Roy Jones always have a suspect chin?

  1. Chin was always weak, but his talent enabled him to hide it for a long time.

  2. Never had a weak chin. Going up to heavy, and then back down again took it all out of him.

  3. Combo- Age, weight drain, overall ring years took it's toll. Body softened up.

He did not have the best chin for sure his reflexes etc. hid it for a long time because he didn't get tagged much. I was at the Glen Johnson fight when he got dropped, even then it was kind of shocking how easy he was kod, Johnson not known as a big puncher at all. The up and down in weight didn't help him but he never had a great chin to begin with.

People think that Roy just got old but probably the first 15-20 years of his life, he gets hit with those same shots Tarver hit him with and Johnson hit him with, he still gets knocked out, so, enough with the excuses, please.

He is--by far---the guy that had the least wear and tear of any fighter I've seen. So fighting different opponents or having the deterioration other fighters had--and dealt with---does not help that chin issue.

Nope. Becomes a big big subtraction.
