IMO Roy Jones Jr has the fastest hands in history. Its either him or Meldrick Taylor. Also he does have faster hands than Robinson imo.
I know what you were referring to. I'm saying it did nothing to deter my view. I've seen everything there is to see of both Robinson and Jones, and am quite comfortable in saying that Jones was the quicker of the two.
SRL was a beast when he had you hurt. He'd throw shots faster than Khan but more powerful than Madaina [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOcsSgc7BIc[/ame]
And thats the LAST time Khan or Maidana should ever be mentioned in the same sentence as Ray Leonard.
its true he had a great feel for openings and urgency. how athletic he was, had this controlled hyperaware agility. made his movement seem so effortless like that clip shows.
So i guess we know now that having fastest hands in history is not enough to crack the top ten all time. (i knew what Roy was hiding and it was re affirmed when Honeyboy put that ass on the canvas)
I saw Roy Jones throw a punch in one of his first 10 fights that one one of the most beautiful punches I've ever seen. He literally punched and was off his feet when the punch landed on the guys chin. The commentators were so busy worried about his poor technique that they didn't see the physical brlliance. I haven't seen any other boxer throw that sort of punch outside of a Rocky movie or Mike Tyson's punch out. I'll post the video if I find it.
Khan is not only quicker than SRL he is far more accurate especially when throwing combinations. Khan is also a record holder. Did SRL ever knock a man out with a liver shot and then go the distance in the same night ?
