ehhhh,pretty decent all the same!
The Ruiz win was special not because of Ruiz size but because he was fighting a guy so much bigger.

 

I think Tarver is also one of his greatest wins.

And yes they are great wins. Look at their resumes. They have all been champions. I would say Hopkins and Toney are his greatest wins but Tarver, Hill, Griffin and Ruiz are also great wins. Ruiz and Tarver have been champions multiple times.

2, montrell grifffin when he still had his 0 two wins agaisnt tony
3, hopkins went on to rule his division.
4, reggie johnson, decribed by forman as one of the best ever light heavys.
5, john ruiz. at time was very underated
6, virgil hill, excellent win. roy showed it was nearly impossible to land.
7, lou del valle. very good win. underated fighter.
8, clinton woods, went on to become champion.

people forgot just how good RJJ was. he came up agaisnt every style of fighter but made very good fighters look c class

Roy Jones has left a hugely disappointing legacy. And it's his own fault.

 

He has a very underrated resume.

I agree with the list. Amazing he beat a heavyweight beltholder, although one of the worst in the last 15 years. I would have liked to have seen him against Chris Byrd maybe.

I think Jones will have to live down his habit of fighting all the mandatories and somewhat avoiding the other champions. I think he could probably have beaten them all, but he did not fight them. And then when he got beaten by Tarver, it left him open to second thoughts as to whether he was overrated all along. Unlike, say, when Ray Leonard lost to Norris, where there were no such thoughts

 

2nd man in the history of the sport to win titles from mw to hw ..And fighter of the decade in the 90's ..Yeah very disappointing atsch
