On boxing new24 he claims that nobody is as fast as him, and that closest is Floyd Mayweather and hes 10mph slower. Well I thought that was funny with him getting KO'd 3 times in recent fights...were was his speed then? Did he leave it in the locker room? Tarver and Johnson dont think he's that fast do they?:nut

If Floyd boxes until he's 40 he'll get KO'd to.

Having been along for the ride for the entirety of both men's careers I believe that in his prime Roy Jones was certainly faster than Floyd. Nowadays? I'm not so sure.

The only thing fast about him these days is how he hard he hits the mat when he gets hit clean.

RJJ was faster, not sure about now.

And he was KO'd twice, not three times.

I think Jones was indeed much faster than PBF. So is Mosley.

PBF has so much better defense though.

I disagree, check out round 5 of Tarver III.

RJJ is still lighting fast but obviously he's can't sustain it anymore.

    PBF:RJJ

Id prefer be driving at the proper speed limit in a solid car and hit an oncoming car than be driving fast in a brittle car and hit an oncoming car....

    ;)

Floyd is faster. Floyd has deceptive speed. You know like the term they give to white receivers in the NFL.

He is methodically, he's not flashy, he's not dancing, throwing meaningless, crowd wooing combos. But when that lead comes, you arent gonna see it. And you come away like Gatti "I didnt know he was that fast".

I disagree, he's fast but not lighting fast. I thought Judah was faster than Mayweather.

No idea but the delusional nut-huggers got excited about his wins over Handshaw and Ajamu so I assume he looked pretty fast.

Judah is faster then mayweather.... well i dont know about now.... seems to be losing a bit of speed in his last fight but could have been training camp.

But Judah was/is faster then mayweather.

Gotta agree, he isnt doing weird dance steps and **** like Roy was but when he decides to hit you , **** its quick

Also Roy looked blinding in comaprison to some pretty slow opposition , Flloyd looks fast againt fast guys. I can't stand the f**ker but you cannot deny he has got it all . Skill ,speed ,timing , OK power

Roy was/is quick and had great pop but skill, speed wise he isnt a match for Pretty Boy

Honestly you laugh but boxers need confidence before a fight, and I hope he truly believes that. It doesn't really matter to any of us, or Floyd what he says or thinks but it does to him. And in closing, a Prime Roy was more then 10mph faster then a Prime Floyd...there's no question.
