Roy Jones GETS KO'ED vs JOE cal why?!? PRESSURE

Let's be honest, Joe isn't knocking anybody out.

 

I agree. Calzaghe should knock him out, but depends if he's got even worse since Hopkins.

 

TKO there is a chance. KO no chance these days JC couldnt knock the froth off my coffee.

This fight is a worry for me i want to see what JC has left in the tank and how he prepares for it in his head, on they last 4 showings JC should win easy but he is fighting RJJ and there could be 1 more fight left in RJJ's tank

 

Same thing was said before the Glen Johnson fight. If Joe gets to land clean and a lot he has a chance to score a KO and knowing how shot Roy is he will run out of gas after the 5th. Joe Calzaghe wouldn't have signed to fight Roy if he was even 10% of what he once was, fact that he's 0% of what he once was is the reason this fight is signed and on.

 

If Joe Calzaghe fought Roy Jones Jr 10 years ago then Jones would have knocked him out, Jones is now pass his best he is no longer the Pound for Pound Champion he once was. I like Joe but if he fought a Prime RJJ he would be outclassed, made a fool of then get stopped.

 

Roy Jones is shot but he's versatile as always, it's not like he only knows how to hook off the jab and shoot lead right hands. Very serious mistake would be Calzaghe trying to break Jones with pressure only. No, no, no, he needs to find those angles and that pace where he can connect more often than not b'cause let's face it, Joe Calzaghe will never beat Roy Jones to the punch... He will play into Jones hands if he comes at will. Calzaghe should win if he can find RJJ's body and head with his high output though. I do agree Jones doesn't have the legs to control the distance.

 

Roy's hand speed is still good when he throws punches... but I agree, his legs can't handle it... Calzaghe moved Hopkins all over the ring, I don't think Roy can handle that for more than a few rounds... I would not rule out a TKO at all.

 

Johnson is pretty heavy handed though with an iron chin.

Calzaghe hands are just wankered and his chin, while very good, isn't iron.

 

an early ko win for calzaghe is probably the LEAST probable outcome..

although jones is old now...and seemingly washed up a bit...lets not forget calzaghe i old too...and roy jones has that one-off style that joe won't have boxed against before...

i dunno who will win...i couldnt pick with any confidence either way...
but i wouldnt be one bit surprised if roy jones gets the win...based on style and calzaghe getting older too, then its definelty a possibility..
