Who isnt ?? Kelly pavlik is only Fighting hopkins for cash,he should be unifying and on top of that he wants to fight joe c next ...and guess what ...he wants to get paid for doing it...shame on the both of them.If you had the chance youd fight RJJ old ass for that kinda dough too.

He can't have been that weak, he did well in the clinches with Hopkins. He held his own strength wise.

He was slow though, compared to times gone by. The difference is night and day, and yet some will claim he's close to prime.

To KO Roy Jones, Calzaghe would have to sit down on his punches. He won't because he's used to throwing arm punches so that he can throw fast and get out of the way. Roy Jones is the bigger puncher and since Calzaghe leads with his head a lot of times, Roy has a bigger chance to KO him than the other way around.

KO? No, but possibly a TKO from ref stoppage on a flurry of unanswered punches on the ropes. But that seems doubtful in my view, Jones knows who he's fighting and he'll be ready to let his hands go. He'll absolutely have to just to advance round by round. Mandatory.

I think we're gonna see a lot of precision punching like the own that knocked Calzaghe down by Hopkins. I think Jones will ko Calzaghe.

I give Jones Jr. the best chance to come out with a K.O.
(Other than that, Buckle down for a 12 rounder.....)

roy doesnt have the defense hopkins had, even in his prime he had little defensive skill, just speed to get him out of the way. all he does is cover up like a shitty version of winky wright. i expect joes pressure to be way to much for jones, forcing a TKO late in the fight.

I don't like either fighter, so this is somewhat objective. The only KO I see happening is RJJ catching Slappy early with a counter straight right. MAYBE he stuns Slappy with lead right hand off a feint, and then follows up to drop Slappy. Otherwise, this thing is going an ugly and surprisingly boring 12 rounds.

I will say though that we really don't know what either fighter has left in the tank. I thought RJJ had less than he has shown in his last two fights. I also thought Slappy had more in the tank than he has shown in his last couple of fights.

it's quite possible but im leaning towards a massacre on the scorecards for Joe. this fight should really not be close at all. i expect something like a 8 or 9 points win. It would be nice to see Calzaghe jump all over Jones but i tend to think he will show him a lot of respect early. Hopkin's strength and clinching spoliled a lot of Calzaghe's effectiveness. I don't see those same problems with Jones whose feet seem like they are buried in cement nowadays.

    Calzaghe 118-109
