Agreed. The Roy Jones from the Griffin rematch...scariest fighter ever. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCr_igXBWRk[/ame]
agree, same montell griffin gave james toney all he could handle and won one of their fights comfortably, the other one is pretty close and i had toney
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGCUuApI9Og"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGCUuApI9Og[/ame] Roid jones jr may be the most overrated fighter of all time..
No dissing the best. He may not have been the greatest fighter on achievements but H2H p4p no one beats him. If he retired after the first tarver fight everyone would be calling him the goat
Overrated? If anything he is grossly UNDERrated today. There is a reason it was so shocking when Tarver beat him in the rematch. Because he was that great and seemingly unbeatable in his prime.
Name me a fighter who was undefeated for 14 years straight and didn't take any retirement gaps in btw.
You mean H2H P4P, right? Cause, say what you won't, he ain't beating best heavyweights and I think he himself knows this. In the P4P sense, I'm one of those that will say he comes close. He just knew what fighting is all about like hardly any other. It's very difficult to claim something like that accurately though.. obviously. So I just say he comes close - I don't believe he ducked Michalczewski or that he was exposed after his prime or that steroids gave him that much of an advantage (who of them best fighters isn't/wasn't roiding and who just didn't get caught :roll He was the real deal.
SRL and SRR have to be mentioned in the P4P H2H race also. Leonard was just a friggin beast at times! He was as fast as they came, and threw with seriously bad intentions. Wins over Duran, Hearns and Hagler.....pretty good H2H credentials. Jones wins over prime Toney and Hopkins are also very good.
Jones beat a bunch of cap drivers and construction site workers, while being juiced up to his eye balls, plus he ducked Benn and McClellan
