    Thanks:good

I would have about 8.5% body fat at the start of the season and would slowly trim down to about 5% body fat without losing muscle, then dehydrate the rest of the way before the weigh in. It is much harder than it sounds, and you can certainly feel the difference when you have lost a little muscle.:yep I would pretty much drain most of the water out of my body at the end of every week. Then try to rehydrate in a couple hours before the match, but not too much because I had to weigh in the next day.:nut

    It was hell.:yep

oh cheers, no worries i think there's a little confusion. the fight was 12 rounds, and not 6, so fighter who won 4 rounds (tarver) does not actually win the fight.

jones won 8 rounds, tarver 4. pretty clear rounds to

Tarver had that fight in the bag but gassed himself in the last 2 rounds, when Roy picked it up. Those last 2 rounds showed what each fighter was made of, and Roy deserved to win. I had it even at the end of 10. Giving 11-12 to Roy... Far from a robbery. Close but clear win for Roy.

I was a round more generous to Tarver than you were, he just didn't do enough to win that fight. He had Roy totally set for the taking, but looked like a deer in the headlights every time Roy let his hands go. The drama was in favor of Tarver just because no one had ever pushed Roy like that, but when you tallied the score at the end, Roy wins.:yep:good

very fair post and bang on. actually first time i watched it i had it 7-5 and every other time has been 8-4. i remember the round where you knew tarver was gonna lose. he HAD jones like you said, put him in the corner and ****ed him up. then, i think it was the sixth, and tarver just stood there and let jones take his time and pot shot. right after, mcgirt tore a strip out of his ass and tarver just sat there blank. from there on, jones worked the body, slowed tarver down and the magic man just let jones dictate the pace. if tarver had upped it, pushed him, the fight was his. instead he got hurt, scared, intimidated, whatever and threw it away
