He'll probably try and resurrect his career by fighting the winner of De La Hoya Vs Pacquaio

In honour of Rico Spadofora I will add that Pacquaio will shatter Roy's glass jaw

Roy could have offered BHop 50 - 50. Just like Calzaghe was generous enough to do with Roy.

Yeah Roy is a REAL *****. He's fighting Joe Calzaghe who is ranked above Hopkins in the Lt Heavies and P4P rankings and who just beat Hopkins you tards.

generous to give Roy 50/50??? The fights at MSG. My friend works at MSG. He refers to the event as the "Roy Jones Fight", anyone that asks for tickets asks for tickets to the "Roy Jones Fight", whenever I've talked to people about it they say "Hey isn't Roy Jones fighting at the Garden?".....NO mention of Calzaghe. :deal Thats why Roy gets his share :good

Roy does not deserve 50/50 he should get 40% just like he was offering Bhop years ago. What in the hell has Jones done lately?

And the ticket sales are ABYSMAL for the fight Jones is not a draw and nobody in America cares about Calzaghe.

And yet you repeatedly say he avoided good fighters. Offering is not avoiding last time I checked.

I think is sad for Roy to turn down a mega fight against B-Hop. He shouldn't make that excuse as a farewell fight between them would make millions!!!

    STFU ... PLEASE JUST STFU!!!

Yes, you're right, he aged overnight for Calzaghe and then drank from the fountain of youth for Pavlik. Couldn't possibly be that Calzaghe is just on another ****ing level to Pavlik.

Hopkins probably trained harder for thr JC fight than any other in his career, he employed the greatest and latest in training staff.

RJJ is NOT a ***** first of all....He is fighting calzaghe because he is not dangerous to his life...it was abundantly clear in tarver 3 and all his fights before and since that he does not want to take a risk...I still defy anyone to tell me what RJJ's mega career defining fight was since the mid 90's

I have all the respect in the world for Bernard Hopkins and the great performance he just had, but these ridiculous excuses for him losing to Calzaghe is getting older than dinosaur ****...

I know this thread was designed to discuss Roy Jones and his refusal to fight BHop, but naturally like every other thread where Hopkins name is mentioned, someone has to call his loss to Calzaghe a robbery...

The guy lost, plain and simple........Put it to rest already.......

It is not that easy to do vs calzaghe...who is FAR superior than KP...sounds good but there is no way BHOP could do that to him...he actually moves around and has fast hands...that is like saying BHOP couldnt handle the version od KP that ko'd JT...styles my friend
