    Fair points.

Legacy-wise, Calzaghe and Jones only stand to 'lose ground' by granting Hopkins a rematch....at least on the surface.

If Hopkins beat either Joe or Jones in a rematch, I don't think it would hurt either of their legacies much, but on the same token, it won't do much to enhance them either. They've already beaten Hopkins.

Hopkins has nothing to lose fighting either of them again.

Hell, at his age, Hopkins has nothing to lose fighting ANYONE!

Anyway, the winner of Jones-Calzaghe might change their mind after the fight. If the money is right, I wouldn't be surprised to see either man square off with Hopkins.

But if neither man takes the risk, I wouldn't be surprised if Hopkins gunned for Dawson.

I agree with you Treva.....But to be completely honest. JOe and Nard faught a HELLA close fight. Joe won but many feel it could have gone Nards way and more feel it was a toss up.

I will say that the Nard PAV faught was nothing close to the Nard Joe faught to a very thin Majority decision. If the Nard that faught Pav showed up when Joe C and nard first met there is no doubt that Nard would have won a UD. Don't get me wrong...Joe still would have done well in spots and won some rounds but the closness that the 1st fight presented would have been non-exsistant.

I actaully wouldn't mind that fight one bit nor would I be surprised either.....I think style wises Dawson is a bad match up for Nard...the speed and combinations remind me of a young Roy Jones who beat Bernard many years back when they were both physically in their primes....but I can't ever count Bhop out.

I don't see why the haters can't get this, BTW Hopkins took less to whip on Oscar and Tito, Yet he PRICED HIMSELF OUT of a fight with RJJ.

A fight that greatly would have enhanced his legacy, and his pockets, if he could beat Roy the way he claimed he could have.

Though I wish this fight could have happened, and all respect due to Hopkins, it made complete sense to take the 60-40 and beat Jones like he said he could. Arguably a top 15 p4p Legacy, and more money than he got in the 2 years later where he didn't fight much and Roy made history fighting someone else.

Although, I wish Roy would have just taken 50-50 and beat Hopkins like I think he could have, that would have been good for his legacy and wallet as well.

All in all, a complete loose/loose situation for the fighters and boxing fans.:yep

Do you even read before you answer? Im not saying he aged overnight I'm saying he wasn't as fit as he usually is, he got tired fast, when he usually is stronger in the 2nd half of the fight(i think he trained too much).I actually had Calz winning but i know that wasn't the best Hopkins.

IMO, RJJ might win, probably Hopkins would win because he's fresher, it's a styles fight and Jones has the advantage. But! Let's see how he does after Calzaghe. People were writing off Hopkins before Pavlik so let's not write Jones off yet because you never know how he'll show up.

This fight WILL HAPPEN if RJJ doesnt get 100% owned by calzaghe.

    There are 2 options...

    1. Roy Jones loses to Calzaghe in a competitive fight. RJJ fights B-Hop for 10+ million.

    2. Roy Jones beats Calzaghe. RJJ fights B-Hop for 10+ million and the distinction of top 5 ATG imo.

He didnt "BEAT" Hopkins he was handed a very dubious split dec verdict. 80% of the press row picked hopkins as winner
