"The young Roy Jones, Jr. would probably beat Floyd Mayweather, Jr., because basically Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and James Toney fight with the same style. My style is a little different than their style," Jones said on dBoxing Source Radio show.

"But when you come back and start talking about Manny Pacquiao, he's a whole different animal. He's a southpaw who throws bombs," Jones said, and continued, "You got to survive his power first, then you deal with him. That's still yet to be seen. Of course with my size I'll beat him, but if I was in his weight class, that would be a good fight to see."

Two things that are quite disturbing coming from a guy who supposedly knows a lot about boxing:

    1. Mayweather fights like Toney but the skill level is where the big difference lies. Chisora fights like Frazier, does that mean DC is as good or can beat an elite fighter? No!

    2. Roy says we've yet to see anyone get past Pac's power. No need to bring up any examples to counter his argument. Too easy.

It's perfectly fine to be a fan but Jones really pissed on his credibility with this one. Tarver owns him in the ring and on the mic.

Wrong. The biggest difference between the two, is dedication.

Toney is more skilled than Floyd, Floyd is more athletic than Toney.

Floyd`s ko percentage compared to Pac`s proves the opposite.

I think a prime Roy Jones that's the same size, beats both.

He's got all the offensive/athletic tools to test Mayweather's defense to the fullest, and the slickness/elusiveness to give Pac problems all night.

Bull****. You're acting like Toney's skill-set is nothing.

The major difference between the two is fitness/athleticism/dedication. Even that goes out of the window when you look at the time Roy fought him. At least the fitness/athleticism does, anyway. That was a prime Toney that Roy beat with ease.
