I can see where he is coming from. From RJJ's pov, he probably believes his chin is his weakness and that Pac with his speed/power/angles may expose, certainly Pac would be a very dangerous opponent for him. FMJ however he sees as a defensive artist, like Toney, and RJJ in his prime outboxes anyone IMO. He did outbox 2 of the greatest defensive artist of his era in Bhop & Toney.

Go on I'll bite, why not.

Roy didn't duck Benn, Don King did. Joe exposed Roy? 2 months from his 40th birthday? 4years after Johnson had knocked him out? Great! Also, Joe has never been faster than what Roy was!

All he's saying is he knows the way his style matches up well against floyd - just like his style matched up against Toney. Pac is so unorthodox its hard to predict the way the styles will mesh, though his movement would give Pac fits for sure (he is saying, heavy handed south paws can land sometimes, more than orthodox philly shell hook artists with good right hands)

I agree, James Toney and floyd Mayweather are stylistically similar, with precision and fitness going to Floyd and actual offensive output going to Toney

Also, Jones and JMM are about as stylisticallly different as you can get and still be considered "elite" counterpunching stylists. Jones is completely unorthodox.

Toney had more skills than Mayweather, I think. He was similar defensively but had more to his overall game, not to mention a much bigger puncher and a far better chin.

Toney never had more skills than Mayweather.....You are confusing Toney being a more aggressive fighter than Mayweather and willing to take more risks i.e throw more punches in bunches.

Mayweather is THE most skilled boxer imo, he is just extremely calculated when he fights and does not like to over commit.

I think James Toney had more raw talent than Floyd.

I think that Floyd is ultimately more skilled, however, and has a better head screwed on his shoulders. Fights of a certain magnitude make or break in the gym, after all.. and thats where James Toney had a tendency to not fullfil his true potential.

I think even more intelligent than Floyd, we have a guy in the super middleweight division who has really ****ing impressed me for one.

Pac could also beat prime Ray Robinson, Ali and Tyson too I'm sure. Lol, RJJ in his prime puts Pac in a f--king body bag!! Pac is entirely too small and would get walked down and flattened! End of story!!!! Floyd would hang for a while and probably manage to finish on his feet due to his defensive skill, but he too would have been to little and would lose. Prime Jones was virtually unbeatable, like prime Leonard, and prime Robinson before him....
