    BatTheMan,

I don't think I do, like I've mentioned zod is the king of the links around here. I've not dismissed any German links.

I didn't say that, because I know Roy's worked with him before. Again, I said that fights with Benn and Liles were hard to make because of King and the Levin's.

I don't know what the specifics were.

But there's no way Ron Borges and Larry Merchant would have backed up Roy on this video, if it hadn't been legit.

Borges and Merchant have ripped Roy in the past.

So you've got to take that into account, and below is a link with Liles' former manager Jack O' Hallan, which confirms that a fight was in place.

Again, we don't know the specifics, but the fact that the deal was in place and O'Hallan walked away angry, proves to me that it wasn't a low ball offer.

    http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=5&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CEkQFjAE&url=http%3A%2F%2Fringsidereport.com%2F%3Fp%3D2112&ei=uVEbU5u2GsfG7AbC5YHoAQ&usg=AFQjCNHSA3_YQbIQjS3oZ9HIyI4LV3Q7tw&sig2=j6l1GbUnXG3wv7cPBSR53w&bvm=bv.62578216,d.ZGU

Thanks to zod for the original upload.

That's up to you. But again, if Borges, Farhood, Paige and Merchant etc backed him, and O'Hallan also confirms a deal was in place, and he walked when Frankie wanted extra money, it proves an offer was made. It doesn't prove what the specifics were, but it proves that both an offer was made, and that Liles considered it. It also confirms that O'Hallan must have thought that the offer was acceptable.

It proves that there was an offer made, and that Roy wasn't content to solely fight mandatory challenges.

You can interpret that, but Ruiz and Tarver were still high risk fights for Roy at that stage of his career. He was a 35 year old LHW, with 50 fights on his resume.

Also, the information at hand, doesn't really support your theory.

    You don't need a source.

All you need to know is, Roy wasn't happy with King's terms when he was 26, but he was when he was 34, 35 and 39.

(I'll try and find you the link where Stanley Levin says that he won't turn Roy over to King and give him future options, from 1995)

At ALL times? There's evidence that disproves that theory.

We know who Roy fought and when.

History has proven that he wasn't just content to take easy fights. Again, Tarver and Ruiz weren't easy fights in his mid 30's. Only a hater would argue otherwise.

Hi mate, yeah I'm good thanks.

Yeah, there was some interesting things in there.

    Thanks.

Below is one of the most interesting things I've read about Roy.

You may have seen it before?

I recommended it to a member on here, but I can't remember who it was. If it was yourself, just ignore it. :good

    Ha! It's not new info.

    What's the issue?

Again, they couldn't work out a deal in 95, but they could further down the line.

    You're just being argumentative.

    Bat,

I can't get hold of that link that mentions Levin not turning Roy over to King. It's no longer available. I did find another link covering the same information, but you have to sign up for a free trial.

    Never mind.

Roy Jones has no Chin. None. He also never faced a Savage puncher in his whole career although several were available for him to do so never was THE Champion in any weightclass he fought in.

His career was carefully crafted to protect that Glass Jaw of his. Jones simply was reluctant and refused to take risks and make big fights. The 2 big fights he did make (Hopkins & Toney) were boring stinkers where he was reluctant to engage. Why? :huh

    Hi Rico,

Do you remember Roy Jones versus Glenn Johnson. If not I can quickly summarise it for you:

He folded like a lawn chair. The end.

    Kind regards
