If Lamotta was 190lbs he would have been a fat ass, he was hardly that well conditioned weighing 168lbs. When he stepped in against genuine LHWs he wasn't strong at the weight, got pushed around and beat up

The theory of Lamotta having great strength and chin at MW is based on him pushing around smaller welterweights

We can all see on film Jones hits far far harder, has far better defense and skill than Lamotta so any question of strength is moot

LaMotta was shorter, his careers highest weight is about 20lbs south of Jones's AND he weighed in same day. You really think Jones's weight at MW were the ones listed on Boxrec? With 24hrs of rehydration?

Jones was taller, weighed more at MW, weighed more at LHW and fought at around 200lbs.

  5.:lol: what a joke this kid. sugar ray robinson is one of the hardest punchers ever, even at middle weight.
lamotta was stronger than jones, he had x5 more heart, he was tested in wars, jones at middle fought only a great fighter.. hopkins... lamotta did beat robinson who was by far better than hopkins. lamotta did beat guys like zivic. jones had a ****ing paper chin compared with lamotta. in few words, jones was a little kid clown in the ring, lamotta was more limited in terms of skill but he was a warrior, a tank much stronger than jones, with iron chin, who did great pressure, with 2 balls.

Ummmmmm No the 142lb version of Robinson is not 1 of the hardest ever MW punchers

The fact that Lamotta needed to goto war with a 148lb Zivic tells us all we need to know

Zivic was really good, especially against LaMotta types. It's not a co-incidence that it was he, and not another likely lad that knocked Armstrong off.

  10. .yes and mike tyson today weighs 300 pounds, foster was stronger than hagler too... and? i am talking about 2 MWs. lamotta weighed LIKE a lhw in several times in his career. LAMOTTA WOULD HAVE FOUGHT AT LHW IF THE HAD WANTED IT. BUT HIS STAMINA WAS BAD AT LHW . AT MW LAMOTTA WAS SHORTER ,HE WAS MORE COMPACT AND HE HAD BIGGER STRUCTURE OF BONES, HE WAS STRONGER, SIMPLE.
JONES WEIGHED AROUND 160 POUNDS AND HE WAS TALLER. HE WAS MORE MUSCULAR,HE TRAINED WEIGHTS,HE WAS FAST BECAUSE HE HAD A LIGHTER AND WEAKER STRUCTURE

Uh-huh...what's your point exactly? If you're saying Jones was obese for Ruiz, you have some work to do.

He was as solid as a rock.

    Huh?

    I am too.

    Jones was a heavier middleweight.

He was also a heavier light-heavyweight.

He was also able to fight as a heavyweight, in shape.

He was bigger, taller, any way you want to cut it.

  15. lamotta faced a 19 years old prime robinson who weighed 155 pounds, the speed was the hitting power of robinson, the heavier robinson was past his prime

it show that you know absolutely a bunch of **** about boxing
