Roy just got beat on bad timing, he came from HW and beat Tarver then fought him again, and got ko'd by a lucky punch Tarvers eyes were closed. Then he jumped in with Johnson, and Johnson fought a hell of a fight.

So know he had confidence issues, and he was gun shy, and he displayed non of those problems with Calzaghe as Roy has learned to fight and be brave trust me if anyone can come back and win the title he can.

 

What the **** are you talking about? His confidence builder was beating Tito. He then gets his ass handed to him by JC... He's ****en delusional and someone needs to have a talk with this fool.

By the way, I'm not hating on Jones, he's my favorite fighter but damn he needs to hang them up.

Roy couldn't knock out a inactive, shot, over his weight Tito Trinidad when B-Hop knocked out a prime Trinidad, and B-Hop does not have the power of Jones. Jones got humiliated against Calzaghe, and needs to hang' em up. I feel sad for him.

this sux for me b/c i am a rjj fan and have been his whole career. it sux b/c people who never followed boxing or young kids just starting to watch are gonna watch him fight and say, "thats roy jones jr??? i thought he was the man?? didnt you tell he was one of the goats??" and i'm gonna want to grab them by the head and shake the hell out of them and say U DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!!

 

don't know why everyone says he got embarassed by JC. the fight was close thru the middle rounds. he's clearly significantly faded compared to 2001 RJJ but he's still a decent fighter. let's see what he can do vs sheika and woods ( if he gets by sheika). dawson should be too much and probably the wrong style for him at this point, but he has already tarnished his legacy in many's eyes and i don't know how he can do much more damage (because fans will say he's 40 if he loses to sheika and or woods) to it. his health should be his only concern and if he's been tested, why not?

 

yeah its a bit of a shame to see a shadow of him still boxing but I dont think it ruins his legacy

its not like people remember Ali for the Holmes fight and I dont think people will remember RJJ for Calzaghe either
