So your trying to insinuate that Roy was on steroids. And that if he hadnt been taking steroids before September 2003, Calzaghe would have beaten him aswell.

Do you have any proof on this other than circumstantial evidence

I am not insinuating anything, just pointing out a coincidence, by the way Roy Jones did fail a drugs test, he claimed he take 'ripped fuel' which was then a year or two later made illegal, I believe it was illegal as far as most other sports were concerned, as well as boxing ?- thats why it came back as a failed test, but Jones was allowed to keep his titles, as he purchased it over the counter and did not realise there was a banned substance in it ,allegedly.

With respect if it had happened to a British boxer or to a boxer from many other countries around the World they would have been stripped of their titles and banned, lots of recent American boxers have failed drugs tests, look at American athletes, there is a big problem with them, with the American authorities by and large turning a blind eye, until Marion Jones that is.

I really want a scientist to back up this losing 20lbs of muscle thing. He managed to gain it in quickly and perform well but then loses it and according to a lot of people on here its obvious it would destroy your body. WHY? Anyone who works out and stops training knows the muscle falls off you very quickly. It's not as if he was a natural 190+lber for years and then all of a sudden lost it. He bulked up and slimmed down. Fighters boil down to their fighting weight all the time, and yes that does include losing muscle as well as fat.

If its true doing what Roy did is so destructive then why did he do it? Why did a great athlete do something that was going to ruin him? Why did no one point out it would be so damaging? Surely someone who knew boxing or training would tell him?

I understand the Chris Byrd case as he was a heavy for years and years before all of a sudden losing the weight. It was different with Jones.

So, is there an expert out there or someone with a good link to explain it to me why losing bulked up, non-natural muscle, would turn you from a god to a mortal? I would really like to know.

    Jones tested +VE for Ephidrine

    http://rossboxing.com/thegym/thegym7.htm

It is not a positive enhancing product. Richard Hall also tested positive (they both took ripped fuel)

Post Test Jones blew away Clinton Woods, Ruiz...then he had a the narrow win over Tarver @ age 35.

Jones didnt test positive ever before.

Calzaghe wouldt have held Jones jock pre 2003, he could barely handly Robin Reid.

The weight loss would of had an effect, Jones didnt have legs to move around stayed on the ropes...but what I think was the major factor in his decline...was AGE

losing 20+lbs of muscle is one thing ....losing it at 35 is another.

Calzaghe beats any version of Jones. There's a reason Jones avoided him :deal
