there was talk recently about jones fighting danny green. i think this would be an extremely interesting fight as there are so many unknowns. i actually believe green could unsettle jones early and green would continue to hunt jones down for the rest of the fight. don't know whether jones could successfully outbox green or whether he would get caught sooner or later. fans seem to think jones is more suspect for being ko'd now then before. it would be a good double header with katsidis vs casamayor II, or maybe sakio bika vs andre dirrell instead. now just need some cash to make it happen hey. what do people think?
At his best Green could have competed with this faded shell of RJJ. But Green is a relic of his own best, and gets beaten badly.
Wld be better than Jones v Lacy although not much better. Mundine outpointed Green fairly easy and Mundine is a try hard Jones with less ability.
if danny green can make $5 million fighting anthony mundine then fighting roy jones jnr would have to make him at least the same you would think. that sort of money would be hard for jones to knock back wouldn't it?
He should have fought Roy when he had a blet and therefore some clout. His retirement - Worst business decision ever.
sounds like jones vs green will follow jones vs lacy fight and green will appear on this undercard too.
Green wouldnt be getting near 5mill to fight Roy...maybe closer to a $1 mill. A lot of available dough would go towards getting Roy out. Katsidas in Melbourne would be huge...gotta hit up that Greek market..Stack the undercard alright then that card will sell.
Does Jones have to beat Lacy first? Cause even that's not certain. Green & Jones is an interesting matchup: Shot legend Vr's slightly faded b-grader. I think Green might knock him out. When that happens count on this fight being made; Jones Vrs Valulev.
