    Calzaghe UD 12 Jones.

I think Jones can cause JC a bit of bother, but the feet don't move like they once did and the stamina issues are well documented....Calzaghe to win in a workman like performance, probably 8-4 in rounds.

I also agree with people saying JC is in decline: I think he's right to get out now safe in the knowledge that he didn't carry on to long which we criticise fighters for anyway.

  2. Well, not in Joe's fists anyway. What do you mean he's got more power? Does he carry a magic ring in his pocket these days? Not dissimilar punching power to the ex-welterweight is about right, though.

Calzaghe UD, too much stamina, pressure and angles. RJJ is never going to be what he was before the move to heavy and if JC is 100% that this is his last fight, he might also decide to turn his wrist over and throw full with the knuckle late in the fight, which could see a late stoppage win.

tito was the smaller weaker opponent so i dont see how anyone can base judgement on that fight - calazghes last 3 fights have been the best opposition around so again on stats calzaghe should win this easy...

    Yes, he has.

Felix Trinidad would not get the respect of any super middleweight with his power. He did not get Bernard Hopkins respect either. Especially when he's not fought for years.

calzaghes chin hasnt been truely tested, it as exposed by hopkins, not coz of the knockdown but hopkins was hurting him as the fight continued, with the headbutts and inside work.. his chin and body are overrated.. jones can wobble heavyweights with his power.. if he catches joe full power, joe will get hurt.. hes still got the ability to throw 8-9 punches to finish you off, i think if he didnt have a torn bicep he would have finished tito off, in the 12th rpound he was putting punches together the best hes ever done

calzaghes always managed to avoid getting hit, he took some ok punches from kessler, but kesslers overrated massively.. good fighter but not on joes level so joe was mentally too prepared for anything kessler had to throw.. jones will catch him un prepared coz his style is soo different..

joe might dominate the rounds but if jones catches him then follows up with 5 or 6 massive punches, he could turn it around at any point in the fight

you little mug, i say wot i want n all your writiting **** dont change my mind

roy jones was putting his punches toghether wikid int he last round.. hows that ignorant.. thats the truth u pillock, IMO if he didnt have a torn bicep u would have seen alot more quality from him

he wobbled ruiz, he shook him up, thats his power.. im telling you about his power, he shook up a heavyweight and schooled him silly.. joe calzaghe aint that dangerous, slap slap slap.. couldnt even hurt manfredo, he misses 60% of what he throws

little angry old man no1 cares.. trolling fan boy is better than a dedicated dickhead who no1 gives a **** about, writing collums like your special and you really know boxing.. no1 cares about clever twats like u, no1 actually listens and learns from what you say haha u should go and be a teacher with your angry old man ways, go slap some childrens butts with your whip..

Calzage UD or late stoppage. A young RJJ would be too much for Joe but not now. I think Joe gets off the canvas to win, but you never know. I like RJJ style of fighting better that Joes but, he's a little past his best to beat Joe

i think calzaghes overrated, i think people think hes better than he is. I look at him against Bika, Lacy, Mafredo, kessler, hopkins and i dont see some1 whos a danger to roy jones, i see some1 who likes win on points, he doesnt come to inflict pain or cause hurt to his opponents. Hes got workrate, but roy can slow him down with his power.......

People expect calzaghe to win coz tarver and johsnon did, and he had poor fights with prince and hanshaw. But the tarver fights was when roy was a fat **** with no muscle the same with johson.. The weight issue DEFINITELY EFFECTED JONES. From ruiz to tarver, it dont make sense, unless u say the loosing weight ****ed him up. I think jones has found a new balance and is back to normal, hes OLD but hes back to normal. HE says His an instrument that god plays his music through, that gives me hope, it means hes feeling fresh and can realy relate to what hes doing - like he was in his prime, he had massive personality.

Its blind faith in calzaghe, theres soo much hype surrounding him on this forum, things get said withought question about him, if tarver can joe can do it better, if johson can they can do it better.. Roys getting better with every performance, tito wasnt his fully best. At the end of the day roys gonna be landing punches, can calzaghe take roys power? i dont think he will take it as good as he has taken other punches....

and how will he deal with his speed, what makes you think calzaghe can beat and old IN SHAPE jones. Its blind faith if anything your the fan boy coz your expecting it, i dont see calzaghes performances and see him destroying jones. when has he ever destoryed anyone except 7 years ago and lacy, who sits there like a plastic duck

    thats my view.. :happy

calzaghes not as strong as roy either.. roys knocked out bigger men he knows how to neutralize size, he might be old but its all knowledge, knowledge dont die..

Calzaghe UD. Not blind faith from a fanboy - just a realistic prediction based on the last few performances from both boxers. as you say, rjj had underpar fights against hanshaw and prince but then again he might raise his game for a more high-profile fight

i just hope rjj puts on a great performance and makes this fight close.
