I fancy Jones to sneak a UD.

On a side note, just watching the 24/7 shows on Setanta...they are absolutely fantastic.

A lot of cheesy yanky script, but **** me they're so well put together. I'm really pumped for this fight now!

You're correct on the first point but unfortunately you're wrong on the second.

I think Calzaghe wins, & wins by UD! Joe is quick to say Jones is a better fighter than Hopkins & will provide him with a tougher test than was the case against Hopkins. I disagree with that totally.

Jones' punch resistance worries me some-what, but with Calzaghe being a volume puncher rather than a KO artist, maybe that will not be much of a factor, if at all?

Jones just does not have the legs or the stamina any more to kepp up with Calzaghe, who's work rate, punch output will be too much for Jones. However, Calzaghe himself may have indeed slipped as a fighter, so we shall see.

Both guys have promised fireworks, toe-to-toe action, but that's extremely unlikely. Calzaghe UD!

have u seen calzaghes, its an even fight.. calzaghes not dangerous at all, he pitty pats and looks to win on points.. so roys in a safe position, all he needs to do is relax and let his hands go and he can slow joe down

i saw the tito fight and even bunce agrees, he was just going through the motions he wasnt flat out trying, hes probably got another 20% more to show!! and against feather fist joe who aint ever faced a naturally gifted offensive fighter and counter puncher like roy, with his speed and power thats a good chance... calzaghe will get hit with the overhand right, and them uppercuts

its a close fight i think

Jones is a shell of the fighter he once was, and even a past his peak Calzaghe really should have no trouble in beating him.
Jones will give it a go for a few rounds, but by the 5th it will be clear he is finished. He will hang on for a while but the ref will step in to save Jones in the 8th or 9th round.
