Hi mate, the fella you have in your avatar was also pretty suspect as far as his use of certain illegal substances. Compare his body when he fought Mayweather to his body when he fought Pacquiao for the last time or when he faced Bradley.

Amazing that a guy at that age could get so jacked n strong looking.

I rate Jones over Floyd. Floyd handpicked too much and waited to fight guys when they were washed up.. He constructed his record.

But you are illogical and biased to the point of impossible rationale.

If you were consistent with your standards, Roy met his ceiling in Glen Johnson.

I've never been a fan of Mayweather, always rooted against him. But for Christsakes, Mayweather was never left out cold, in a pool of blood, with his legs twitching like Jones was on quite a few occasions. If only Roy retired after beating Ruiz, he'd be the GOAT...........

... and a lot of people argue Castillo actually beat Floyd. When prime RJJ fought prime Bhop and Toney, it wasn't close.

Thulane Malainga was a pretty good boxer.
Think he won a title twice. Gave Eubank hell. Beat Benn. Point is he was a would operator. He met Roy and got destroyed. Totally destroyed.

I don't think Floyd was a real fighter. A warrior. That is required to be an all time great. Greats fights make great fighters.

At his peak,RJ appeared unbeatable. Mayweather never appeared unbeatable.
Legacy wise, I would probably give the edge to Floyd, who admittedly benefited from clever matchmaking throghout his whole career.

I agree, if anything Jones skill set and physical athleticism was so overwhelming, most of the competition he faced had absolutely no answer including skilled fighters like Toney, Hopkins and Mccallum . (Though Mccallum was clearly pass his best days) He was a generational athlete that just happened to be a boxer. While I'm sure fighters some of the ATG' s of the past would've found away to test him. (and as every fight fan found out,he had a VERY ordinary chin) and defeated him, but not many would've at his peak.

It isn't close, prime for prime Jones is clearly ahead. I don't get why people judge Jones after the Tarver fights. He was clearly shot, past prime and hadn't had a world class win since.

From 94-03 Roy Jones was on top of the world, what he did, nobody is gonna be able to replicate. Mayweather obviously had the better career than Jones due to the amount of money he made, but that doesn't really mean **** tbh.
