It's your hate for the UFC. Jones would crush Silva in a boxing match. But Silva would beat him badly in an MMA match.

Why does Anderson Silva need to get a boxing license when he already has 2 fights and 1 just 3 years ago ? Is that the real Anderson Silva ?

He hasn't fought in Nevada, so he would need to get licensed there

To be fair, that was years ago(10 years I believe), before he'd even become an MMA fighter.

Still, doesn't change the outcome of this matchup. Jones will tag him up repeatedly. Silva is just too open as a boxer, something he can get away with in MMA. And without the rest of his arsenal as a striker, he'll be a fish out of water. Decent boxer, but no Roy Jones, even at this stage.

It is absolutely him. I remember they made a big deal over his win in the MMA world trying to hype his superior striking.

I see now. I know Andersons striking has improved alot since 1998 when he got KOed by that journeymen boxer but this is just stupid and honestly its making Jones look bad even if he walks threw Silva in 1 round unless they make it a Kick-Boxing bout to even it up.

As an overall striker, not as a boxer. Anderson is primarily a Muay Thai fighter. His kicks, knees and clinch game are unbelievable. Incredibly dangerous on the feet. Good hands as well, very good by MMA standards, but not by elite boxing standards, nor is his defense, though he can take a punch.

Have a look at this back elbow KO.

Hmmm. I see it sounds like MMA fans but I dont remember honestly I never paid much attention to Anderson back then even when he was in Pride he seemed so inconsitent to me I just couldnt get wraped up in him. I never took him seriously until he KOed Tony Frklund with that uppercut elbow and started tearing apart the best Middleweights in the world every fight. No guy with 2 Pro Boxing bouts is beating Roy Jones Jr no ****ing way and I always give the opposing fighter a chance. Ill bet my savings account on this fight even though I give it about a 0.1 chance of happening.

Whats so funny is I got a UFC collection from my best friend in Iraq for 20 dollars. It has 1-72. I need a duplicator so I can make money with all the boxing dvd collection I have. I tried to get into UFC, but I hate kicks, chock hold, traingles. I love punches only and slams is cool.

That was PPV, I guess that shows how much we love boxing. I wish I can get your knowledge one day. And hopefully I can become a promoter with the lords blessings.

Best of luck to you. I was thinking about becoming a judge once I retire, but that's a long time from now.
