Its funny how overblown the Pavlik win was when anyone who didn't beleive the Pavlik hype knew the outcome of that fight ..This was the same man that was picked to KO Hopkins based a win over Taylor ..Yet Hopkins had never been staggered in his career .

The win was impressive but not one for the ages the Tarver win was more impressive he posed more of a threat ..But for those who were impressed by those wins go back to Jones Johnson ,Jones Toney ..Nothing Hopkins ever did could compare to what he did in those fights ..

Hopkins domination and KO of Trinidad, who was pound for pound number two, in his prime, and coming off devastating KO's of Vargas and Joppy can't even compare with those wins by Jones? I think you might be selling that win just a bit short.

In retrospect how do they look at that fight now ? Hopkins was the bigger man does he deserve all that much credit ? Tito's p4p listing was suspect any way ..

Most people I know look at it as a dominating win by a Hall of Fame boxer over a Hall of Fame opponent. How was Tito's ranking suspect? He beat and KO'd top fighters and belt holders at 147, 154, and 160.

People love to bring up that bigger man stuff to discredit or downplay a Hopkins win, but if it was that big a factor, why was just about EVERYONE picking Tito to KO Hop?

Roy Jones is twisted on this one. Bernard Hopkins looked great shutting out Tarver, a man who sparked Roy, and being the only man to stop Johnson, a man who also sparked Jones. That's besides the point anyway, Pavlik was an undefeated rising star and Hopkins made him his girlfriend for 12 lopsided rounds. Hopkins is substance over style. He shouldn't be discredited because of it.

EXACTLY!! He did what Roy couldent do in 3 fights and even got Knocked out trying to do "Bernard convincly beat Tarver" and B-hop didnt Just beat Tarver
HE EASILY DOMINATED TARVER FROM 1 TO 12 COMING UP FROM 2 WEIGHT CLASSES.

Jones is my favorite boxer but I must admit he didn't respect the fans in the Tarver III fight where he was boring and was intentionally holding back, most likely from psychological fear of getting rocked again...

With that being said, yes Hopkins is not the most flashy boxer out there, but he's a treat to watch for real hard core fans that see the technical skills displayed before their eyes.

I thought that fight could've went either way. It was hard to score Joe's volume of punches though some were good and some were a bunch of slapping looking crap.:deal

The Jones/Hopkins fight was one of the most boring fights I have ever seen. Nobody wants to watch 2 guys one that is old as hell and the other with a Glass Jaw sit there and pose for 12 rounds because they are scared to engage each other. This fight would be awful.

His win over Kelly was impressive. I disagree with Roy here.
