I think more of his contemporaries (other boxers)
would agree with him than people on this site.
Roy was (and still is) held in extremely high regard
    among boxers. I don't he's the GOAT p4p but he's
    definitely up there.

Tell Roy to let me know when Brady or Jordan pop for PEDs. Or when the play way past when they should and ruin there legacies lol

“Even the great Sugar Ray Robinson, the pound-for-pound guy that he was, couldn’t win the light heavyweight title after turning pro as a welterweight. He had a difficult time trying that. So that tells you how hard it is to jump up that kind of weight and win. So, pound-for-pound the greatest of all time? It isn’t hard to figure out, Roy Jones Junior is your king of the hill.”

    Kill yourself, HerolGee.

I would be hard pressed to even rate him over Jimmy Bivins.

    Jimmy Bivins:

Bivins had a 27-0-1 streak that saw him recognized as both the interm Light Heavy and Heavyweight Champion. In this streak he defeated Archie Moore, Ezzard Charles, Lloyd Marshall, Joey Maxim, Tami Mauriello, Lee Q Murray, Curtis Sheppard, Pat Valentino, and Oakland Billy Smith. He also defeated Charles Burley whom Jones Jr was compared to in just his 14th Pro fight. In a 15 year career, he was rated as a MW, LHW, and HW. Had the divisions existed, he would have been an elite Super Middle and Cruiser as well.

Yep. Toney schooled Ruiz and there are MANY great fighters past as well as present how could have moved up and beaten that paper champion. a feat that was somewhat impressive but gets overrated by the RJJ diehard. Something I'll never get considering you had a guy in Moorer who also jumped up the weight classes and beat much better opposition at HW(including the man at the time(arguably anyways) in Holyfield) I know Roy gets credit because he jumped up 2 more weight classes, but what Moorer did will always be more impressive to me. Spinks as well...

What if Roy dropped down to CW after beating Ruiz and won a title there?

Roy Jones has been exposed to Jim Lampley and Max Kellerman for too long.

Roy has a case for being TBE in his Prime 1994-1999 but not GOAT. Greatness includes legacy. But head to head he was right up there with some of the best ever. And had he retired at the right time, nobody would have questioned it.
