I wasn't a boxing fan pre-tarver....Who exactly did he duck? Most ducking arguments seem to be centered around B-Hop and I don't think he ducked hopkins.

But besides bernard, who was RJJ ducking during his prime years?

rjj beat bernard and offered him 60-40 split for rematch.

Bernard simply knew RJJ was all wrong for him and never agreed!

That's not ducking. If anything, Hopkins ducked Roy.

I agree 100%. But the biggest hate on RJJ is that he ducked opponents...WHO THE **** did he duck exactly?

He should'a fought Michealshevski...that my only knock on him but other than that he was cleaning out the division pre'Ruiz. I mean, he would've fought Tarver earlier had Tarver not lost to Harding the first time they fought.

DM didn't want to leave germany to fight RJJ. And we all know B-Hop refused the 60/40 split

DM was the linear champion when Jones moved up to 175lbs and RJJ never fought him. You can say that it wasn't his fault, but it hurts his legacy to a degree that he never fought THE champion at the division. Benn, Eubank, and Nunn were all still top-level when RJJ was at 168. I also believe Gerald McLellan had a belt at 160lbs when Jones fought for the vacant IBF strap against Hopkins, who was at the time not as well known or as highly rated as G-Man.

    Move to 5:55.

As far as Jirov is concerned, he was a cruiserweight and Roy never fought at that weight, also serious talks regarding that was never mentioned, it was James Toney that was discussed the most and never did anything worth mentioning in terms of offer or major fights at Light Heavyweight to be considered. All Toney did was demand more money for losing to Montell Griffin at Light Heavyweight and another guy by the name of Thadzi, why the hell would he demand more money or even be considered when Roy already beat him as well?

The reason I mention Toney is that he's better off replacing Jirov in that list because he at least had a few fights at Light Heavyweight and started trash talks about Roy based on jealousy and hate. The same way he did with Vitali back then and when he was offered a career high pay-day to prove it he ran with his KFC bucket between his legs.

As far as Michael Nunn is concerned, he lost to Liles so Liles was the man to consider instead here(watch the video for answers).

Eubank went on to lose to Collins so Collins was looked at as a better opponent, logically. The video should answer the question regarding Collins as well.

I'll watch it when I get home. I'm a my parents house getting that good old BBQ  trying study for school, and post. But it's two sided to a story period. I think Jones would had beat all of them including Gerald. Also Toney, Tarver, and Hop are very jeolus of Jones. You are right about Jirov being replaced with Toney

Jones ducked no one in particular..he just didn't go out of his reach to make certain fights a reality when potential opponents wouldn't make too many efforts on their part !!
