The fight can happen very soon. According to the Roy Jones Jr he wants to fight first Muriqi after Jermain Tylor in the boxingtalk.com

Roy Jones Jr saying that he is not Antonio Tarver. What if Muriqi broke him and retired him.

I belive a lot on him, he is very hard, go Muriqi :good .

Roy would beat Muriqi. Murqi couldn't even beat shot Tarver, Who is more shot than Jones.

I am not sure that Jones can win this fight. Tarver is fighting Clinton Woods next. Should be a good fight.

So Derrick Gainer says him and Roy are working out together 3 times a day. I guess Roy probably is then focusing on a tune-up before Taylor which should have been up to lately in June !

Roy should retire and become a comintator, :D.

I would hate to see him lose again to somebody he would hummilate in his prime. :-(

RJ wins this. This would be his first KO in a while.

It's a stupid fight even if it's a tune-up. The Kosovo Kid, Elvir Muriqui ( 34-4(21) ) was a fourth round kayo victim to frindge contender Danny Santiago in 2004 and lost recently by very generous scores ( 116-112, 115-112. 114-114) against a rusty Antonio Tarver and they still talked about a robbery... Roy Jones should win easily but he's not going to get great praise for doing it, so why do it in the first place?

I agree. But IF Roy is going to continue fighting, it's better for him to stay active, rather than fight once a year.

The fight betwen Elvir Muriqi - Danny Santiago was nothing. The refere count on Muriqi and he was avalible to continue but the refere gives fight to him. Remember fight Muriqi vs Ahmad when Muriqi gets three knock downs and continue and wins fight. Santiago afraid many time to give rematch because Muriqi will kill him .

Muriqi is real deal , he can beat everyone in light heavyweight division.

Roy should stay active if he plans to continue.

    Muriqi fits the bill.

A beatable opponent that atleast some have heard of.

Waiting around for his big fights with Taylor, Calzaghe, Hopkins, or whoever, and getting older and rustier is not a good strategy.

Going out and staying active against guys, who won't upset the ole applecart, is.

Muriqi is a decent opponent for the top guys if tey want a fight to keep em ticking over. Muriqi is good and durable but dangerous and very beatable.

Why do you think muriqi is the real deal???
You say he can beat everyone in his division and he got beat by a rusty Tarver:patsch .
Roy will punch holes through him.
