Ward is pre-recorded....we did it yesterday just before his MRI....so I can't get those out.

Next time, tell Ward he's giving my buddy brain damage and it's going to have to stop soon.

Sillakh touched on those experiences a bit.

Did you get to see it? Please do elaborate!

    Thanks Badlok!

I haven't had the chance to transcribe it yet, and seeing it's 2:50am here, I don't think I'm about to start now.

Unfortunately this one is going to have to wait until after Christmas.

10 years now. He prepared him for Miranda, for Kessler, for Green, for Bika, and recently for Froch....not to mention just about every other fight he ever had, and hell, even for some he never had. Ward dropped him for the first time recently. They've been sparring since they were both amateurs. My buddy's trainer trained Virgil, so they basically come from the same school of boxing (hearing Ward on your show sounds just like my buddy talking to me on the phone when breaking down boxing). But I've seen 8 or 10 sparring sessions between my buddy and Ward, and judging by the punishment I've seen....****. And I'm sure they've easily sparred over 100 times.

I'll tell you right now, Ward ****S people up in the gym. He is a bully in that ring and always has been. Having a world-class fighter punch you in the head (which is something he won a gold medal for doing) repeatedly, for years and years, is not good for your brain and will not fully show until old age. He thinks the head gear is keeping him safe. I had to break it down for him.

    Enough.

I've heard a few people describe him as a "bully" before, which is kind of funny given the fact he is such a well-spoken, polite, and articulate guy.

Not sure if you heard the Ward interview yet. I may start trying to transcribe it now.

One thing that I always find interesting, is that all of his peers from the amateurs give Andre a great deal of respect. One of the questions I asked Ward, I read a quote that Lamont Peterson made about him before the Froch fight where he gave Andre extremely high praise.

All of his peers seem to have a universal respect for him--Peterson, Berto, Dirrell, etc.

He is also a guy that Hopkins and Nazim have both been very high on.

I would personally favor Ward over anyone south of cruiserweight at this point, and the scary thing is he seems to keep getting better.

What's the problem? You're not going to bed for another 5 or 6 hours anyway are you?

    I started it!

I would have had it finished already, but I had late night work tonight.

Problem is, it takes me several hours usually to do a full transcript on a 25 minute interview.

I have another busy day work tomorrow.

    Let's see how this progresses.

I did a little editing above.

But yeah, he's an extremely respectable person. He's as nice as anyone you'll ever meet. But in the ring, he flips the switch and it's all business. The trash talking has even been going on in the gym for years now.

It's funny, I remember telling some ignorant Brit on ESB about the gym wars here in the bay area back before Ward embarrassed the hell out of, dished out a hefty beating to, and purely schooled Kessler. This ****er acted like it was the most absurd thing he had ever heard Naturally, thoswe who were in the know, had no doubt whatsover that Kessler stood zero chance of beating Ward.

The sparring session between ward an silakh was very very good. They both show some real technical stuff
