I told you all that Ward fear of flying rumar is the truth in which is why Ward will only fight at home in the super six tournament. And i bet ya that's the reason why Dirrell really pull out of the fight cause he won't fight Ward in oakland. And who could really blame him? Dirrell already fought away in which i thought he beat Froch. Look at the Bika fight. <<That fight was close in which Ward clearly won but 1 judge had it a shutout win for Ward in which Bika didn't win 1 round on his card in which is bs. The other 2 judge had it only 2 rounds for Bika. It's a shame that showtime is allowing Ward to only be fighting at home.

Relevant points - have to agree. Ain´t fair that SOG has all his fights home.

He would be in your shitty rankings :rofl

Lets deal in some facts Rob.

While Froch's last 5 fights looks more impressive compared to Ward's....a closer look lessens it.....

Ward has never lost, and dominated Mikkel Kessler who was the champion at the time.

Froch has a loss, in a close fight with Kessler who was coming off being dominated by ward, and most people scored this fight for Kessler.

Froch has a win over Andre Dirrell in a close fight, which a lot of people scored it for Dirrell, and some say hometown cooking for the reason he got the decision.

Froch has a win against Jermain Taylor.....a fighter that was coming off losing 2 of his last 3 fights (one by KO) and was winning on the cards and had dropped Froch before breaking down in the last round, in only his second fight at 168 (2nd Pavlik fight 164, so only Lacy)

Froch has beat Arthur Abraham. This was the best performance of his career and he stuck to a game plan a lot of people thought he could not do. But Abraham is a fighter coming off a loss to Dirrell, where he was dominated, and has beat a true 168lb fighter. Also Abraham's own trainer call him a coward so it's clearly his effort was not his best in his eyes, and even though I still believe with Froch's game plan he still would of won the vacant belt....it would not of been as one sided as it was.

Froch has beat Jean Pascal. This is the most impressive win on Froch's record. While Pascal was quite green and had never fought anyway of worth at the time. Pascal has improved quite a bit and even pulled off the upset win against Chad Dawson since then, so this win looks better then it then when Froch won the vacant belt.

At the end of the day the Kessler win alone for Ward is enough to rank him above Froch at this time. He is the WBA super champion and he is still undefeated, and has defended his belt twice against won guy that many felt should of been in the tournament to start (Green, after Bute) and Bika who had a good win streak before the DQ loss in a fight that he was winning. So no matter what way you like to look at it Ward has to be ranked over Froch based on his biggest win, and Froch's biggest loss. I think it's quite fair to have Carl Froch ranked #2 at 168 based on his wins, which is below Ward, and just above Bute. Andre Ward is undefeated and even though he had been fighting at home, that has nothing to do with the wins he had got in this tournament.

    Wasn't that clown perma-banned?

I like Carl Froch and Andre Ward a lot. In fact, they are two of my favorite boxers out there today and I think if these two meet in the Super Six (as I suspect they will) that it will be a very intriguing fight.

At the end of the day, I don't think 'The Cobra' will be able to cope with Ward's ring intelligence and adaptability. Froch has proven he can be an intelligent disciplined fighter himself at times.

The thing is, when I think back on Froch-Dirrell (which I honestly had Dirrell edging out but in no way thought it was a robbery), I cannot imagine Froch having the same success roughing Ward up and disrupting/distracting him from his game plan.

We'll know beyond a shadow of a doubt who the BEST super middleweight is when the Super Six is finished.

    For my money, right now....

    1. Andre Ward
    2. Carl Froch
    3. Lucian Bute

And you recently told me my head was getting bigger.

I agree that fighting at home *hasn't* benefitted Ward, but that doesn't mean it *couldn't* have benefitted him. And that perception of deck stacking is why there's an unroar.

But still, there's no reason why he should be the target of anger. Another poster said it best - don't blame him for having a negotiating team good enough to get that arrangement. Blame everybody else for agreeing to it.

I'll say this - Froch will probably make it to the final, and you can bet he'll be damned if he fights Ward in Oakland. That hometown stuff WILL come to an end for the final, or there won't be a final.

I don't think he's done anything to deservce to fight at stricly at home. However, if his fighting at home ensures a slightly larger payday for his opponent based on the gate, then what's the prob? Also, he hasn't been given any hometown wins, so really, WTF does it make?

If the other 5 fighters in the super6 have fought on the road then why it's fair for Ward to only fight at home? And i guess you didn't listen to the judges scorecard on the Ward vs Bika fight cause 1 judge had it a shutout for Ward in which it mean that judges didn't give a round to Bika. The other 2 judge only gave Bika 2 rounds in which is bs. Bika won atleast 4 or 5 rounds.

I guess you weren't at my place when I heard the judges scorecards...or I guess you didn't read my post about them...

Anyway, I agree those socres where wide. But how bad were they really. One can be in a tough, somewhat close fight and still win a wide desicion. If you do just a little more each round to win, even if hard fought, what's the difference? The right guy won.

And I use this example, hopefully you saw the fight. Winky vs. JC Candelo years ago. Winky won almost every round, but JC Made him work for those rounds. It was tough, close fight, but the scores said differently.

I guess it also depends on what a score means to you. Is a 12-0 fight automatically an easy win? Is a 7-5 fight automatically a tough fight or "anyone coulda got it" fight? Nope. All depends on the action.

Ward should fight Abraham in Germany, i wont criticize him quite as much if he done that.
