It is not about hoping an praying, i hope he keeps winning, but if he think his armor his not fragile, he going to get knock out, when he boxes from the outside, an moved, i didn't find in boring, like mayweather, an he dominated, once he try to trade or let marcos catch up to him, he payed, you could tell the punches from round 1 to 12 effected him, his jaw sucks, but his skills are awsome, he just need to stay on the outside.

The only thing that kept him up was conditioning. I don't know why this isn't more widely realised. Khan didn't like ANY of the shots that hit him. He flat out turned his back and ran from some. And then in the 10th he was gone, he just had stronger legs and a more balanced physique which allowed him to stay up where in the past he had fallen. His chin has been upgraded from horrendous but I can only put it as high as bad. Maidana was ****ing done by the 8th when he did almost nothing, trying to conserve and catch a second wind.

It was more than 2 power punches he landed though, but definitely not as many as 6. I think more like 3, maybe 4. All the credit in the world to him for staying up, but it's still a bad chin, and the eeking out of a decision over a very limited boxer.

 

Also, as a big fan of Maidana, I do think that his power is overrated. Ortiz bitched out, rather than was knocked out. In fact the shot Maidana landed on Ortiz, that massive right hook that was about 10 seconds before he fell down (not from a punch but from choice) was far bigger than the shot that hit Khan. Far bigger.

Ortiz was also knocked down by a great right hand but showed little to no lingering effects. The way in which he was able to recover so quickly suggests that the shot was not as big as people talk. Maidana couldn't stop the ghost of Chop Chop Corley, and the Cayo fight... I don't know, it was a weird one. The guy didn't even look like he wanted to fight at all.

 

i learned that if kahn donest fight from the outside, he's going to go down, he has very good skills, but his chin is simply not good, and as soon as he fights a more skilled hard punching fighter we are going to see the truth, i dont hate khan, i just dont see him being an all time great, but you never know.
