    I disagree. He is a good matchup for Hopkins. Hopkins wasnt interested in Dawson who has height, reach adn speed advantage over him and likes to use his distance like Jermain Taylor.

    Hopkins talking all this ****, yet when Dawson gets his title back I bet he'll be quiet as a mouse. The guy is 46 and still acts like a crybaby. All this baloney about petitioning the WBC to strip Pascal. He just wants to cherry pick the title, knowing if they strip Pascal, it's because he will be tied up with Dawson and so Hopkins won't have to fight Chad for the title. I hope the WBC don't bow down to these fools. As if Dawson-Pascal wasn't controversial and more deserving of a rematch.

    I don't give a **** about body language but rather about points in a boxing match.

    If you think it was a robbery, why didn't you have the courage to tell it to Pascal while you were interviewing him, huh?:think

    You scared?:hi:

    Dawson-Pascal wasn't controversial. That cut was truly horrible.

    If there were proper and skilled judges Hopkins wins unanimously. By 1 point to 3 points a correct scorecard has Hopkins winning by an average of 114-112. just no way around it.

    Pascal wants the rematch, does Hopkins want it? not so sure. I think he would prefer to be awarded the title on a silver platter. It would be a real shame for Foreman's record to fall that way.

    Hopkins is only gonna be older when the time comes for a rematch. Pascal is still young and will have grown from the experience of the first fight.

    Pascal by UD in the rematch, close but clear.

    Come on, the body language means nothing. We often see both fighters "looking" to be the winner of a fight. What does that mean? That only means they are lying. Pascal was upset about his performance. That doesn't mean he thought he lost.

    I had it Hopkins 114-112. I'm not comfortable at all with a 115-111 Hopkins. A draw is not so bad.

    Hopkins' cries are beginning to become really ridiculous. Asking the WBC to strip Pascal for a close decision is being absurd. Speaking of the Canadian ref and Canadian judges is plain dumb. There was only one Canadian judge. One was American and the other Belgium, and his team agreed to those officials. So shut up, old man. For once, the referee didn't help you to win.

    I think Hopkins beats him in a rematch. Hopkins isn't the type to lose rematches really [obviously lost to Taylor, but that was arguable and he wasn't in the best shape probably struggling with the weight].

    He's too seasoned and schooled to lose/draw to the same guy twice for me for the most part [again, excluding Taylor]. He'll have learnt more about Pascal from that fight than Pascal would about him. He's also more adaptable and I think he'll see the improvements he needs to make to beat Pascal more than Pascal would see the improvement he needs to beat Hopkins, which was mainly an issue with his work-rate and he'll struggle to up that without gassing early.

    This comment doesn't even make sense.

    Hopkins went to Pascal's back yard, got up from two KDs, walked him down, and outfought him over the 12 rounds.

    He earned the title the hard way. And you know it. :deal

    So Hopkins is actually saying he got dropped twice, and fought to a draw against an amateurish and stupid opponent... :think Yeah, that makes his own star rise.

    You got it totally backwards.

    Pascal TOLD US, straightforward that:

    ============================

    JENNA: Okay now there is a little bit of a debate over who you will be fighting next. You have a rematch clause that you have to honor with Chad Dawson and there has also been huge demand from everyone for you to fight a rematch with Bernard Hopkins. Who do you think you’ll be fighting next?

    PASCAL: Of course I’d rather fight Bernard Hopkins because with Bernard it was a close fight and against Chad Dawson it wasn’t close at all. So of course I would rather fight Bernard Hopkins, but don’t worry Chad! I’m not scared of you. I’m not trying to run away. I’m going to respect the clause. You want to do your rematch? Let’s do it, and after that I’m going to take out Bernard Hopkins.

    ============================

    What does that tell you? Because it doesn't take a genius to read in between the lines here!

    Sure sounds to me like Pascal is putting Bernard on the back burner in hopes that he gets even OLDER before he is forced to face him again.

    Meanwhile, Hopkins gave no indication that he was the least bit reluctant for the rematch, even going so far as to say they will try and sue the WBC in order to force Pascal into an immediate rematch.

    Well he's disputing the knock-downs and obviously - like most - doesn't think it was a draw.

    He did earn it, and the idea of winning the title outside the ring to 'beat Foreman's record' is just silly, because the ENTIRE IDEA OF THE RECORD is that you have to win the title INSIDE THE RING!

    Pascal was over-rated. Hopkins should retire.
