He may not be 100% prime but he's still more than good enough to stop Khan

you also thought Khan was a better fighter at 24 than Mayweather was.

Why? Care to break fown how you see it going?
Personally I yhink Khan may win the first 2 rounds.
After thay I see Cotto walking in with his hands up high, taking near enough everything on the gloves and forcing Khan back. Cotto ripping Khan to the body and switching upstairs
Khan constantly retreating and getting stopped in the late rounds.

Seems like your still butt hurt about that, cool Floyd was better at that age, but what about now, Floyd is looking more beatable and trust Khan is going to jump on Floyd like some fine ass.

It's the take over *****, Floyd had his now let the young guns shine..

Floyd may look beatable compared to his younger days, but he still has more than enough to whoop someone as flawed like Con.

Ok let's take this from my reading of the the match up, things noting when pitting someone against Khan I look for foot speed around the ring, type of pressure, types of punches thrown, reaction times before attacking, workrate.

These few things are geared towards Khan having a good chance to win a figh or not.

Boxing most times relies on simple factors, eg the fighter who lands more in a round wins that round most times, so you think does Khan's style after noting Cotto style and trends can win rounds on him?

Why so much focus on foot speed and cutting off the ring?, why focus on reaction time before getting off? As we now Khan has problems with pressure but not all pressure is the same, walk down/reckless pressure and very less thinking time are the two things which panic Khan, put him at unrest.

Does Cotto pose those two things, in my view no, not that type of pressure, Cotto is a good counter puncher and has good timing, but Cotto don't like rushing the fight like to set himself right before he gets off, I think Khan moves around the ring faster and not allowing to pin himself on the ropes like vs Maidana and Peterson at times should outpoint Cotto in the middle of the ring, Khan has a great jab just like Cotto but in this fight beats Cotto to the punch most times, Cotto would follow Khan around the ring by the time panic kicks into his game Khan will be way up on the cards.

Cotto in my view has to KO Khan to beat him.

The problem with Khans footwork is although he does have quick footwork he is sloppy and moves (runs) backwards in straight lines.
All Cotto needs to do in my opinion is follow him with a high guard Khan will panic as you mentioned and then he is in trouble.
Peterson and Maidana managed it with varying degrees of success and neither are as strong as Cotto and Cotto is a lot quicker than Maidana.
Also I think Cotto is a more intelligent and than Peterson or Maidana.

Completely agree. I've never said Khan would beat Floyd, just that his style causes Floyd problems. It needed to be said mainly because of idiots ignoring that styles make fights, Khan does better against boxers it's just unfortunate for him that Floyd is one of the greatest boxers that ever lived and would make the correct adjustments.

Thats why I so wanted to see Peterson-Khan II to see if Khan made adjustments.
