It would do tons for his legacy if he were to move up and defeat the 168lb king.

What does Rjj know about fighting "the best" in all the divisions he boxed in?

Jones jr is hardly the one to tell a fighter to fight a genuine contender ROFL
When you consider the part time fighting school teachers, cops & garbage collectors he defended his title against that is HYPOCRACY!!!!!!!!

Roy made a similar move in his career when he moved up to fight Toney who many considered the best..

That victory is really how Roy got establihed and thought of as a true great..

So I would say no, it isn't bs.

Did Roy move up from MW to fight James Toney? Moving up and beating Ward would be a similar feat.

Jeez Rico, think through the hatred a little.

Eubank and Benn would reject the notion of Toney being the best at that time.
RJJ beat ONE of the best.

    He beat Hopkins and Toney.

Who in the hell has the Triple Duck ever beaten?

Toney was seen as the most dangerous fight for Roy, and the large majority of the boxing world felt Toney was the best. Just as a large majority of the boxing world thought Roy was the best after beating Toney.

And I am not so sure Eubank would reject the idea.. He recently stated fighting Jones and Toney would have been suicide, and Benn said he didn't mind being second to Roy.

He beat YOUNG Hopkins, who was pretty raw back then.
Toney was one of the few champions at SMW
He wasn't regarded as "The best" over Eubank and Benn.

Eubank and Benn would have dispatched Griffin for example if they ever met.
Griffin beat Toney soon after RJJ did.

Everyone has their opinions, but as I said, the large majority of the boxing world did feel James Toney was the best at 168..

    You don't know that.

Toney was not a great LHW.
