Ward needs to fight period. It's absurd to call a fighter over 12 months removed from his last fight, and now two years removed from his last meaningful fight The Best. That **** is ancient history in modern boxing.

He's been inactive for so long, there is no way he's even touching a live contender his next fight. He'll take a tune up...and than we'll probably be stuck waiting another two years...and guess what? He'll need another tune up.

GGG is a Middleweight so he should stay where he belongs till his body can't make it anymore. His next opponent is a first class opponent in the division and a fight I've been hoping to see for a while now.

from the looks of it ward will be back in 2016 when his contract runs out with al haymon

that will be 2 year since his last fight and at 3 years since his last meaningful fight

haymon fighters are known for there inactivity too so he might never shake off the ring rust

Does he still have the belts or has he been forced to vacate them?

Are you serious? You're mentioning only heavyweights, how are they supposed to move up in weight? :D
You're right, there's nothing wrong with staying at ones natural weight if you're satisfied with being champ in a weak division, but it won't be enough to make GGG one of the greatest if he doesen't step up - he should have that hunger to prove that he's the best, and if he can't do that at MW because people won't fight him, then move up. The problem is, that all of the MW champs are weak. Tell me which MW's are more worthy or would make more sense than fighting Abraham, Stieglitz, Bika, The Dirrells or De Geale? Even Kessler even though he hasn't fought for too long..

But none of the fighters you listed before carry 20-30 lbs of fat do they? As do none of the very best heavies of the past and present. You're contradicting yourself - how is he gonna unify when they're all ducking him? He's wasting precious time. You do realise there's a boxing scene outside of the US to right? Those i mentioned would be the biggest payday he's had by far if he fights in Germany or England. I do think a Dirrell vs. GGG is a potential PPV too. I don't think a fight with Ward is gonna happen, he's got way too many demands.

Hmm Andre isn't right now, no. But Anthony is. But the federation can't force the champs to fight GGG if they're afraid, they'll just drop their belts to avoid it. Saunders and Eubank are unlikely since they'll probably rematch soon, and i don't think they'll outdraw any of the fights i mentioned - especially not Lee.. I don't know the story about GGG getting screwed in Germany, what's that about?

 More Ward fans content with him staying in the same division instead of moving up and fighting Kovalev or Adonis, while calling out smaller fighters and calling the smaller fighters duckers

I don't know what it is with the short attention spans of today needing fighters to needlessly jump divisions fighting guys they shouldn't even be in the ring with in the first place.

You should be moving up through divisions because you are outgrowing yours or having trouble making weight....

It cracks me up how people **** on G for not moving out of a division he is perfectly suited for, and hasn't even cleaned out yet to go fight guys who have been in their own divisions longer then G has even been a pro

Hopefully the rest of the division gives Golovkin a chance to unify before he turns 40! That was obviously a stretch but as it is now, he will have at least a couple more years for his unification opportunities to get done.
